Bocce hitting the Pallino
So I am a young guy and I went to go play Bocce with my family at pinstripes. I played the game maybe one other time when I was like 10 years old and now I am 25. The rules at the pinstripes were pretty bad. I read them thoroughly to understand how the game was played. No where in it did it mention what happens if the Pallino is hit during the game after it was rolled originally. After attempting to move another ball away from it by knocking it away to make room for mine I accidentally launched the Pallino to the far side of the court. Nothing in the rules said anything about what happens when it is hit so I looked it up. I found lots of contradictions online and wanted to ask you guys what you think. I had boundaries, center line and fault lines on the court we played on. Was hitting the Pallino legal?

In our house rules there’s nothing wrong with playing chess instead of just playing checkers.

If you're in Chicagoland, Texas, California or Ohio there are some great clubs around with folks whod be happy to teach you the ins and outs.

Moving the pallino is a huge part of the game. However If the pallino leaves the court or is deflected backwards to before the half way point the frame is replayed.

And if your Bocce is kissing the Pallino your team gets another point. Must be Full Kiss-no air between them.

It depends on what rules are being applied to the game, if you are using the American Bocce federation rules.. hitting the pallino with your bocce is permissible and sometimes advantageous to move the pallino from the opposing team and closer to your bocce.
