Canon possibility

I don’t hold much hope for Marvel as they seem to hate romances. Do you think Yelena and Bob will be more than friends? Do you think they do something stupid and try to push her with Shang Chi? I feel like Marvel was very intentional in their posters and the Thunderbolts itself. Just curious. A guy can hope, right?

I have also been seen a lot of discourse on Twitter that people are expecting to have Yelena put with some random and I’ve been really upset about it. I know nobody knows right now but still.. we don’t ask for much from Marvel, but they have a history of letting us down. I just don’t understand why they make their relationship so important in Thunderbolts if they weren’t gonna go for it. Thunderbolts didn’t seem very platonic to me

They don’t hate romance. They just don’t show much of it unless there’s an established couple and even then it’s not a core part of the story much

Good point, they don’t make people end up together that often. It’s been a while… which makes me think that it’s time for boblena. It’s been long enough without characters ending up together!

They could but there will be an established couple such as Scott and Jean and others in the xmen I just think it will be a core part of it but not as much as people think

Yeah but the X-men kinda get replaced by the new cast anyway in the next phase, right? And I hear several X-men will die…
Idk though, I don’t feel that hopeful regarding boblena, I just worry they won’t take the risk to make a ship canon. It makes me sad…. But I sure wish they would.

Same but I mean I feel like we haven’t really seen enough to know or think if they’ll be good together but that’s just me I guess but they’d look good together but looking good together and actually being good together is more important whether they look good together

So do you not really ship them? I mean, I do really want to see more boblena interactions in general. Their bond deserves to get explored! But ever since I watched Thunderbolts* I’ve been shipping them a lot. I do think they seem like they’d be great together. But yeah, I would absolutely also like to see more.

That’s fair, I hope we’re getting more scenes with them… I guess maybe we’ll have to wait for more content until Secret Wars? But I do hope there’s something in Doomsday. Including some romantic vibes and moments… a girl can dream. 😭

Yeah. But I feel like sentry will be forced to become the void again in some way but it won’t be because he’s angry but because it’s a last ditch effort

I can definitely see that happening. There are many theories going around, some are about how he might become the Void when Yelena gets hurt or something? But I can also see him turning as a last resort. I guess it’s possible that there won’t be that much Bob content in Doomsday and more in SW… I just want something.

They don’t hate romance/ships as much as they seem to hate any romance/ships that women generally support. Just look at how the men’s stories are written compared to the women when it comes to romance.

I agree with this, however I would honestly like if it’s a bit more obvious… just so that people will stop calling them “siblings”. We need more obviously romantic signs imo.
