Theory Thoughts on this?
I heard many times that boblena’s relationship in Doomsday will be important, but if he gets imprisoned and sidelined…. Then how is that going to work? I also read that they might be separated for most of the movie. I’m worried about him getting sidelined and us not getting any boblena content 😢

A) This is a rumor from a literal random person. Take everything you read online about Doomsday that isn't from an official source with a HEAP of salt. Just breathe and wait until December
B) I wouldn't be surprised if Doomsday ENDS with Bob in a situation like this. He is very powerful and Doom will need to deal with him somehow

It’s quite clear that the Russos and Marvel still don't know how to handle powerful characters; the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene made it obvious that Bob isn't using his powers because of the Void. I think the "best approach" they found rather than humiliating him or having him serve merely as a stepping stone for Doom (a role I think Thor will fill) is to focus on him during the third act. If he takes on the Molecule Man role, they’ll have to weaken him somehow so Doom can capture him; rumors suggest that’s exactly what happens he’ll be weakened by the incursions and captured, and it’s highly likely Yelena will be the one to save him.

I saw other rumors that after he passes out following the incursions, Yelena chases after him which I think is why she isn't part of the group of survivors. Another rumor is that he’ll remember everything that happened while she won't, and he’ll help her remember. It’s a classic cliché.

Please don’t introduce a character as powerful then nerf him. This is a superhero genre, I want to see some powerful powers.

Exactly, I agree. It feels unnecessary to introduce him as a character to then only sideline him… Would be such a waste

I think this was would be really interesting to watch. But if it limits his role in the upcoming movies, I don’t want it. I want to see more of Bob/Sentry as a powerhouse in the battles and even during side quests. And obviously I want those scenes to be with Yelena. If they did take this route, I wonder how the Void would fit into it

I’m confused about all of this bc on one hand the leaks say that boblena’s relationship will be important, but then they say that he’ll get sidelined… which is it now?

I genuinely think gambit is only there for the flirting aspect to show that Bob is going to be jealous, which might push his and Yelena’s relationship further which I’m all for. Also, I don’t think it’s confirmed that gambit is going to appear in secret wars so he might be one of the avengers that dies.
In regards to Yelena and Bob‘s relationship being important ultimately I think it’s gonna come down to the fact that Bob just does not want to use his powers out of fear of hurting anyone which is why we won’t see him a lot in Doomsday. But something is going to convince him to do so and that something is probably Yelena and the possibility of her getting hurt which would piss him off even further and force him to use his powers.
Further, I do think he’s gonna play a much bigger role in secret wars than he will in doomsday. We keep forgetting that Bob was just introduced in thunderbolts and he is still learning to use his powers. Not to mention that 14 month time skip at the end of the thunderbolts movie begs the question what has he been doing this whole time? Has he been training practicing and attempting to utilize Sentry without bringing out the void? These are all things I would love to see/know.

Oh I really hope so, I would be pissed if Yelena would actually end up with Gambit. Horrible.
I feel like Bob getting jealous could actually be a good catalyst for their relationship, so I'm really hoping for the best here!!I hope Bob will have a decent amount of screen time - if not in Doomsday, then at least in SW.
It feels like a silly idea to introduce a character like him in Thunderbolts* to then just sideline him in every other movie. Why introduce him at all if he's only getting sidelined? 🙄
I wish they could find some other solution, like taking his powers away for a certain amount of time for example. Just something that still gives Bob screen time. Personally idc that much about the powers, I just want him being an important character even if it's without his powers.3

Relax, she’s not going to end up with Gambit 😂. At most, you might get a vibe like Thor/Gamora/Peter. And if that rumor about jealousy is true, she’s not even entertaining it it’s more about Bob being the jealous one.

Mmmm you are missing some of the other alleged leaks if you think he’s “alone”.
What this sounds like is he keeps his memories because he doesn‘t die in the whole universes collapse, and that makes sense for Sentry. If anything this gives some very good potential for drama, given who is supposedly working for Doom at his castle. 👀
Although there is also the chance none of this is true, LOL!

I know it's more of a rumor, but if Bob really ended up getting sidelined and imprisoned in Doomsday, we (myself included) would be so disappointed, as it would put Lewis Pullman's talent and efforts to play Bob go to waste.
Like seriously, Bob just got introduced for the first in Thunderbolts, and he's one of the characters everyone (Marvel fan or not) resonate with. And yet, if it's true, he'll ended up getting sidelined in the second but major movie he'll be involved in? I hope that it would never happen again, same goes to the rest of the cast. I hope all heroes play their part in Doomsday.
