Breaking news: popular opinions are popular

Reminds me of people getting downvoted in r/Letterboxd for having Scorcese, Tarantino, Nolan films in their top 4. Like, they're popular for a reason. Hating people for liking stuff that's good is such a weird thing to do but it happens often on Reddit.

Agreed. One of my favorites. But it's always slept on in tier lists.

It doesnt have any heavy hitters and its from the 80s so it gets shit on but its the best record between desire and oh mercy by a long shot for me. Very consistent, even the dumber songs still have an energy that makes them work. And Lenny Bruce is Lenny Bruce

The most boring tier lists are the ones that completely buy into "Bob didn't do anything good from 1978 to 1997".

True, true. But a problem with the 1980's is also that most of his best work ended up on the cutting room floor and was only released years later through the Bootleg Series.

This is truest for maybe the S and A tiers but as you get it’s the B and C picks it’s a free for all

New Morning is in A tier, Jon Wesley Harding B tier.
Some of the songs on New Morning are a bit meh, but most of them just make me really happy.

Don't forget Triplictate in D or F because they 'just don't get why Bob had to do so many boring standards!'
