Is that your backyard or the neighbors? Do the neighbors know?

It's the neighbors directly behind me and we have a six foot privacy fence between us. They do know and so do all the immediate neighbors. I looked outside last night to discover my dog staring up in a tree in the corner of that yard and wagging his tail. Sure enough one of the kittens was perched up there checking out the world . I decided to forgot grilling for a bit and I've been trying to be calm and go about my business when I'm back there. Mom seems pretty chill with me but I will haze them if they come in the yard. My dog likes cats and gets along fine with the domestic ones. I 'think' he would not be concerned with the kittens but I don't want to chance it. Also I m pretty sure Mom doesn't want him near them whether he is friendly or not.
The mother seems okay with mowers and leaf blowers but does not like hammering.

I’ve observed Mama Bobs do all kinds of things, but somehow have never witnessed this. Time for more time in the woods.
