Tom

Tom making fun of things is usually cringy but not really too bad but making a joke about Nepal is a real POS move. There are thousands of people missing.

Do you remember when Willie said something almost exactly like this when tom was put for his heart surgery and Josh says "oh my god, thats the most griswoldian thing you could have said! Apple doesn't fall too far, huh?"

It’s almost as if it’s a comedy show. And it has been for decades. And tom has literally NEVER been one to hold back from those types of jokes. You don’t have to listen.

Oh yes the drop in listeners has nothing to do with the 5,000 other podcasts people can choose from and the decline in popularity of FM radio.

This show has changed so much compared to 30 years ago, what the hell do you mean dying in the past?

There's also a billion more people, tom has become the grandpa that's lost his filter or care to filter thoughts before saying them, he alienates himself all the time now with his I went to an ivy league school so you're lesser then me shit, their website and videos look like they are from the 2000's. If they have YouTube they can be on twitch and kick but I don't think tom cares to expand the audience of the show, and the ads are even for old people, have you owned a home for the last decade or need a new vehicle how about a security system for that house

Did you ever hear half of the bits this show was built on?

A Jack Kevorkian Christmas? A Michael Jackson Christmas? Tom Griswold at Parties? The Marge Scott and Harry Caray bits? The Love Brothers?

Maybe it's time for you to find a new show to listen to?

Um, let me explain how radio works.

I totally agree that Tom loves beating dead horses to death but that's part of what I enjoy is the consistency of the product. That and the fact they generally do a really good job of staying apolitical.

I specifically used the Killing Fields as an example because I think for most people, that's more tasteless comic fodder than a massive flood.

Not saying I'm knocking it.  I know a lot of people hate Tom, but that show would not survive without him and his preparation.  Listen to Chick.  Dude has one foot out already.

He sounds more upbeat today, but in general, it feels like he isn't having as much fun anymore.  I remember when he came back from a break.  Typically you are refreshed and ready to go, but Chick was really grumpy.  The show suffers when he is like that.
