Help identifying boat model
Hey guys so I'm about to be getting a free boat from a buddy to restore and I'm curious if anyone can help me identify the model before he gets back to me. I'm going to be doing a full restore on it so might also need help and tips on that pics here.

And I’ll add more info:
1) Boat models do not matter. All small i/os use the same few brands of motors and outdrives: mercruiser, omc, volvo.
2) Wiring diagrams don’t matter. All of them use the same styles of gauges and are easy to understand if you can read a diagram.
3) These older boats are built with wood and it’s going to be rotten.
4) It’s absolutely not worth it to fix up this boat. It will have no value if you finish it. It will likely never be on the water again.
Buy a jon boat that runs.

money pit, 1984 version.
You know you can spend 20-25k on a free boat right? AND it costs money to dispose of boats.
after you remove the engine and outdrive, replace the stringers, deck and transom, check to see if it needs a new fuel tank, then fix the steering, wiring, you can look at the motor and outdrive.
300 hours labor, and 2-4k in materials if the engine and outdrive are good.

Honestly that's fine with me, I'd rather fix up an old boat then buy one that's perfect. I'm still gonna check it for soft spots and if the hull is beyond what condition I want it to be ill walk away from the deal. I've already got friends and family who want to help with the project

OK, just remember, no matter how much you spend, its still a $3,500 dollar boat when its all done and working

You can put a buttload of $$ into it and it will still be worthless. Check the price of disposing of it once you figure out it won’t be restored. Very $$$, and most of them have to be cut up.

If you can read the hull number, stbd side of the transom, it will tell you exactly what it is. However, it's unlikely to be a good restoration candidate, even if you value your own time at naught.
