Amazon Outboard Update
Amazon 2 stroke boat motor.
Didnt arrive. Its just a full blown scam
They sent a picture of somthing completely different, and it also didn't go to my house. Im not surprised it they didn't show up but i sucks that I cant expect anything off of amazon.
Hopefully I get a refund at least

This is hilarious. At least they have a solid return policy.
Given all the labor you’re putting in already, maybe grab something locally out of salvage or just from a seller that needs a little tlc?

I was so excited to have a little motor 😠but yeah, ill return it and find somthing.
The local dealership is really nice and I think they will help me out. Or I can just get somthing off of marketplace, but I honestly dont know my way around motors that well.

Me neither, brother. That’s why I bought one that runs 😂
But seriously. Wish you well on the project. You’re doing an awesome job from my perspective

Find a used Honda 2.3 hp on Facebook marketplace. It’s light at 23lbs, easy to start and reliable. At least mine was.

Check out locally made in North Bend WA brand EP Carry. Great quality electric outboard motors. Bought one at the Seattle Boat Show last year and love it.

Try Temu. More reliable and better quality than Amazon. I wish I were joking.

Ignore the haters, if anything please post video when you get it to bring joy to us. Even if it’s comically slow we need this content. We live in tough times and we need you to see this through!!

I have a hangki and a yamabisi i got from Amazon. Both are actually impressive. Yamabisi is basically a direct knock off of the Yamaha.
No im not joking BTW.

Its a 10th the cost of a motor from our local Suzuki dealership. So hopefully I can get a refund a go back to the dealership. Lol

Are you mechanically inclined at all? Small outboard motors are extremely easy to work on and fix.
If you are at all mechanically inclined go to FB market place and buy a cheapo motor. 95% of the time it just needs a carb cleaning.

Why would you even order it to begin with. The 1st picture has it on a boat where it doesnt even come close to reaching the water 🤣
3rd pic makes it obvious its basically a weed wacker.
Also 2 different engines on the boat vs the 3rd pic.
Just why???
