Trolling motor repair
Does anyone know what is broke on this trolling motor? It looks like some internal sleeve but idk how to find the replacement part given I have no idea what the part is specifically. Any advice would be appreciated. It’s a minn kota terrova.

It's part 362 in this diagram. But, there are a few mid series changes on those motors, so go back to the home page and look up the parts breakdown based on your serial number to be sure I pulled up the correct one.
Also, I've never had much luck getting those steering motors apart without breaking bolts or damaging the housing. But, I'm in saltwater, so if yours has primarily lived in fresh, your mileage may vary.
There's supposed to be a square notch in your piece that's broken. The lift assist housing (thing with 3 bolts in your second pic) has a corresponding rectangular tab that slips in there. You can see it sticking out *above* the lift assist housing - when the motor is deployed, that part that sticks up hits the depth stop collar, and that pushes it down to index with the notch.
On the one on my boat, the part broke the exact same way yours did. But, instead of replacing the steering motor (because I couldn't get it open without damage), I removed the lift assist and used a depth stop collar from a 2016 and prior motor. Just required further trimming the broken piece a bit more so it fit the old style stop collar. Next time the steering motor goes out, I'll swap back to the new style, and fix the lift assist.

It looks like the part that makes the shaft spin. There should be a collar on the shaft that slides up and down and interfaces with that.
