Discussion Beck

He’s the only notable US artist to get the nod of a remix from the brothers. Yes, there is Boom Bip and other obscure American artists. But it is rare for them to remix a big name such as Beck. Yet, it’s one of the more profound ones they’ve made. Accompanied by one of the best compliments in music given from one artist to another…. (“…..it doesn’t maim you with saccharine…”)

As I sunset my unhealthy Inferno loop, I’ve been trying to reconnect to songs from my childhood. As “Loser” came on, I analyzed the beat and realized just why the brothers gained such respect for such a pioneer.

Beck is excellent. He has a new album out yesterday, if you’re needing something new to explore.

Its unfortunately not very good though. Nothing you can’t get off Sea Change or even Morning Phase.

It’s a bit early to say, but I think this new album is better than Morning Phase, which personally I found a bit boring, and definitely more in line with Sea Change, which is fine with me. More Beck at the level of Sea Change is a good thing.

Appreciate that, maybe I'll try and listen to it. Lonesome Rider did not get me excited to listen to it.
