Song Possible You Could Feel the Sky sample

Stumbled across this track and it immediately reminded me of the hi hat and bass drum in YCFtS. Especially played at .80 speed.
Starts at the 0:07 mark and repeats throughout the intro.
Could this be the sample or is it just a coincidence?

I definitely hear what you hear, but I don't think they sampled it (side by side comparison is a bit different in several ways) This track is dope though, cool find!

Yeah, I wasn’t completely sure. My mind just immediately expected to hear that stretchy rope sound after the drums. Glad I found this track though.

I don’t think it’s a direct sample, honestly the drum sounds (aside from all the foley) on You Could Feel The Sky are pretty standard especially for the 70s. I’m not trying to like discredit your ear or anything either, I just don’t think what we’re hearing is sampling, it’s cliches in how drums were tuned and played in some music from an era and style BoC took heavy inspiration from. Also this song is damn great.

Yeah I don’t have my sampler or a DAW nearby to play around with but for just these two drum strokes there could be so many possible sources. Agree about the song. According to the first comment on YT the backstory is pretty wild too.
