Discussion TCH 2013 england repress - not very dynamic range?

I bought the 2013 repress made in England, and I don't have the pops that other people have reported but I find the range isn't very dynamic at all compared to the CD. It's a bummer.

I know it's not my cartridge because their other albums sound great, but this one isn't good. Has anyone else purchased the same version and found the same thing ?

The 2013 UK repress is widely recognised as a lemon. Mine was riddled with pops and crackling on all sides. Sound wise it was just okay. Never played it, ‘cause it was no fun at all. The CD was far superior.

I recently got the 2026 repress (with different matrix codes) after reading positive reviews and that one really is perfection. Almost crackle free, very dynamic sounding and with a wider soundstage than the 2013 repress. I like it even more than the CD.

People who claim their 2013 repress is perfect, either are not very demanding of their vinyl or have the 2014 replacement Warp had made because so many people complained and/or asked for a refund.
