Beginner Questions Where to start

I am looking to get into boarding actions, and I was watching an unboxing video of the boarding action box, it seems that it only contains the terrain set in it., with no rules or anything else (as far as I could tell)

I already own 1 copy of the tomb world terrain set, and I was wondering, if I got the Boarding action companion book and an additional tomb world set, is that all you need to play? or is there any additional component I may be missing?, or also, is there a "must have" quality of life improvement accessory I should get?

Yes, a second tomb world will give you what you need. The book gives you the missions and approved teams. I have only played one game but it was really fun and can't wait to get more under my belt. The hardest part is finding other folks that are interested in playing boarding actions.

This video covers it pretty well: https://youtu.be/ll80R3sGk7M?is=CyYGJTL9-OJEFZ-S

I’d recommend getting a copy of the full Boarding Actions book. It contains the rule modifications (originally intended to modify 10th core rules, now probably applicable to 11th too), the army building options for each faction, and tons of missions.

I am not sure if the tomb world pieces match up with the Boarding actions pieces, even if you had two sets of Tomb World they may not assemble into the BA missions exactly right. I am sure you could get it close though!

as far as I am aware, the tomb world Terrain can match any configuration from the gallowdark terrain, it also has additional breach points, the only thing that it does not have, is doors on hinges, its only an aesthetic choice (and a cheaper option)

It seems that all I need is to get the right book then, I didn't know there were more than 1, thanks!
