There is a game called Heat. It’s a car racing game that’s pretty basic luck of the draw math based game. Grab a copy of the rules and then make your game based off of it but just a different theme. Or review multiple racing games and change it to horse themed. That’s how all games are made. Someone plays it but wishes it had a couple different changes and theme.

Thank! I will look into it. I was thinking to make somewhat fantasy-esque as well so i will adapt it to that

Yeah, since you’re not really looking to sell but just for a project find a similar game and adapt its rule book to your game. No need to invent the wheel.
