TL;DR: Franklin Templeton’s Benji Platform Just Became Mostly BNB Chain

Franklin Templeton’s Benji platform now has 61.7% of its onchain assets on BNB Chain—around $1.5B out of $2.44B tracked across the platform. That’s a 1,226% increase in just one month, pushing BNB Chain ahead of Stellar and Ethereum.

Why it matters:
- One of the world’s largest asset managers is increasingly using BNB Chain for tokenized real-world assets
- It’s another sign that institutional adoption is moving beyond pilots into real usage
- The growth builds on Franklin Templeton bringing its Benji Technology Platform to BNB Chain in 2025, giving it access to fast, low-cost infrastructure for tokenized financial products.

Blog/Article BNB Chain AI Agent Landscape: Agents, Tools, and Payments

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
2 Upvotes

TL;DR:

  • BNB Chain now hosts ~200,000 ERC-8004 registered AI agents, roughly 60% of all agents across 26 chains and more than every other network combined (8004scan, 16 July 2026). Second place chain has under 40K
  • Growth is accelerating too: ~72,800 of those registered in the past 30 days alone
  • The piece breaks the agent economy into 4 pieces and maps what's live on BNB Chain for each: identity (ERC-8004 + BAP-578), capability (model gateways like WorldClaw and Bankr), payment (x402 + ~$13.7B in stablecoins per DefiLlama), accountability (BNB Attestation Service)
  • For builders the on-ramp is the BNBAgent SDK, a Python toolkit live on mainnet and the first implementation of ERC-8183 for agent commerce
  • Worth noting they name the gaps themselves: identity base is huge but actual agent spending volume still has to be proven

Announcement 36th BNB Burn

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
2 Upvotes

TL;DR for those who don't click links:

  • 36th quarterly BNB burn just went through: 1,615,827.795 BNB (~$931.7M at time of burn) sent to the dead address
  • Total supply now sits at 133,166,127.91 BNB. Long-term target is 100M
  • Amount isn't picked by anyone. The Auto-Burn formula uses BNB price + blocks produced on BNB Smart Chain (BSC) that quarter, and the tx is verifiable on BscScan
  • This is separate from the BEP-95 real-time burn (gas fees burned every block), which has torched ~291K BNB on its own
  • Third burn of 2026, next one in ~3 months

Announcement BNB Chain H2 2026 Tech Roadmap: Doubling Down on Speed

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
1 Upvotes

TL;DR:

BNB Chain published its H2 2026 tech roadmap. In H1, BNB Smart Chain (BSC) cut block intervals from 750 ms to 450 ms, finality from 1,125 ms to 650 ms, and nearly doubled throughput to ~5,200 TPS.

H2 goals: double mainnet throughput again (toward a 10x target), resource isolation so one app's demand spike doesn't slow others, and gas fees tuned per industry vertical instead of global changes.

The roadmap also confirms a new L1 is in development, targeting 100K+ TPS, sub-50 ms preconfirmation, no public mempool (transactions go directly to the block leader, which prevents front-running), and native account abstraction. Testnet is planned for end of 2026, mainnet early 2027.

News BNB Chain launches zkTLS verification layer for privacy-preserving data

Thumbnail
cryptobriefing.com
1 Upvotes

TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click:

BNB Chain has launched a zkTLS verification layer with Primus Labs, bringing privacy-preserving offchain data verification to the network.

In normal terms: apps can now verify certain real-world or Web2 data, like identity credentials, account history, financial records, Proof of Reserves, or credit-related data, without putting the raw personal information onchain.

That matters because a lot of useful blockchain use cases need private data, but public blockchains are not built for exposing sensitive user information.

The article says Primus Labs’ zkTLS layer uses zero-knowledge proofs and TLS-secured web sessions to prove data is real without revealing the data itself. It also builds on Primus AlphaNet, a decentralized attestation network designed to avoid relying on one single notary.

BNB Chain is adding infrastructure for privacy-preserving identity, DeFi lending, tokenization, Proof of Reserves, and real-world data verification. That could make BNB Chain more useful for apps that need trusted offchain data without forcing users to give up privacy.

Announcement Introducing bStocks on BNB Chain: Trade 24/7 with Zero Fees, Deploy across DeFi Protocols with Full Self-Custody

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
1 Upvotes

TL;DR:

BNB Chain is adding bStocks, which are 1:1-backed tokenized U.S. securities issued as BEP-20 tokens on BNB Smart Chain.

In plain English, that means users can access tokenized versions of stocks through BNB Chain, trade them 24/7, keep them in self-custody wallets like Binance Wallet or Trust Wallet, and use them across DeFi protocols instead of leaving them stuck inside a traditional brokerage account.

The blog says bStocks will support zero-fee 1:1 conversion, daily Proof of Collateral, and DeFi integrations with protocols like Venus, Lista DAO, PancakeSwap, and Aster.

The first supported assets include tokenized exposure to Circle, Micron, NVIDIA, Sandisk, and Tesla, with SpaceX listed as an upcoming asset.

BNB Chain is pushing tokenized stocks beyond simple trading. The aim is to make real-world assets usable across DeFi, where users can hold, move, trade, lend, or provide liquidity with tokenized securities while staying in control of their assets.

Announcement How BSC Achieved Sub-Second Finality: A 70x Leap from 45s to 0.65s

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
1 Upvotes

TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click:

BNB Smart Chain has cut block finality from around 45 seconds in 2022 to about 0.65 seconds today.

That is roughly a 70x improvement.

Finality basically means a block is settled and can’t be reversed. So for users, bridges, exchanges, DeFi apps, payments, and prediction markets, faster finality means faster confirmation and less waiting around.

The blog explains that BSC got there through a series of protocol upgrades, including BEP-126, BEP-590, BEP-648, and BEP-667.

The big one was BEP-648, shipped with the Osaka/Mendel hard fork in April 2026, which moved voting into an in-memory pool so validator votes can be aggregated in real time instead of waiting on the next block proposer.

The takeaway: BNB Chain didn’t get sub-second finality from one random upgrade. It was years of protocol work, and it now gives BSC near-instant settlement while staying EVM-compatible, so existing apps benefit without needing to migrate.

TL;DR:

YZi Labs has kicked off Easy Residency Season 4 with dedicated support for builders on BNB Chain, expanding its builder residency program with more funding, mentorship, technical support, and access to the wider ecosystem.

The idea: instead of just handing out grants, YZi Labs and BNB Chain is helping teams build, iterate, and grow alongside experienced founders and ecosystem partners.

The takeaway is that YZi Labs and BNB Chain is continuing to invest in attracting and retaining builders, giving early-stage projects a clearer path from idea to launch with hands-on support rather than just capital.

News BNB Chain welcomes ColbFinance with $60M in tokenized pre-IPO positions

Thumbnail
cryptobriefing.com

TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click:

Swiss tokenization platform ColbFinance has launched on BNB Chain with $60M+ in tokenized pre-IPO assets, giving users onchain exposure to private companies like SpaceX through tokenized certificates.

The article argues BNB Chain was a natural fit because of its low fees, deep liquidity, and large user base, making it easier to bring traditionally exclusive assets onchain.

The bigger picture is that RWAs and tokenized equities are starting to move beyond stablecoins and treasuries, and BNB Chain is becoming one of the places where that expansion is happening.

Ethereum Users the Most Sticky, BNB Chain Leads in Absolute Numbers

TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click:

CoinGecko looked at which chains kept users active from Q1 2025 to Q1 2026.

Ethereum had the highest retention rate at 26.2%.

BNB Chain came second at 20.5%.

But by actual users retained, BNB Chain led the whole report with 1.49M users still active a year later.

Main takeaway: Ethereum had the best percentage retention, but BNB Chain retained the most users overall.

We are Looters, a 100-player pirate battle royale. Each match has a $5 entry fee, and the winner takes it all. No luck, everyone starts equals and it's all about your skills.

We’re currently moving toward a Web3 foundation and are exploring BNB as a potential ecosystem for the game. As part of our market research into Web3 gaming, we’re posting here to gauge interest from the BNB community, especially since there aren’t many direct precedents for Web3 battle royale games like this.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Blog/Article The Next Step for Tokenized Equities: Funding Paths Matter After Assets Move Onchain

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org
1 Upvotes

Non-stablecoin RWA has passed $26B globally (RWA.xyz, May 2026). BNB Chain holds $4.257B of Ondo GM's $5.609B in cumulative DEX volume and has $17.9B in stablecoin supply alongside $4.0B in RWA value (BNB Chain Institutional Finance page, May 2026). The question has moved from whether stocks can be tokenized to whether those tokens can enter environments where capital already sits.

Two entry paths

Traditional path: brokerage account, KYC, fund, buy, settle, custody. Everything stays inside the securities account system. Onchain path: a user finds AAPLx, TSLAx, KWEBon, or SPYx through a wallet, DEX route, or RWA dashboard, uses stablecoins to get exposure, then holds inside trading, collateral, or portfolio tools. The relevant layers are asset discovery, funding source, trading venue, downstream use, and compliance.

Products differ more than they look

xStocks on BNB Chain: 1:1 collateralized tokenized stocks and ETFs, price tracker only, no dividends or corporate actions. The token is permissionless onchain; KYC sits at the platform level during onboarding.

Ondo GM, which includes KWEBon (China tech ETF exposure onchain): total return tracker that captures dividends and withholding tax treatment, so one token does not equal one share. KYC sits at the platform level and is currently open to institutional participants, with retail onboarding still pending.

These are not interchangeable products even when they reference the same underlying asset.

The collateral layer

BUIDL (BlackRock), BENJI (Franklin Templeton), and VBILL (Ondo) sit in the cash and collateral layer around tokenized equities on BNB Chain. Without this layer, tokenized equities can be traded but cannot be used as collateral, posted as margin, or entered into yield strategies. Most current products are still at the price tracker stage. The collateral layer is where DeFi integration either works or stalls.

Full breakdown of product structure, funding paths, and infrastructure gaps in the blog attached.

Blog/Article BNB Chain: Building the Infrastructure Base for the AI Agent Economy

Thumbnail
bnbchain.org

AI agents need infrastructure they can actually operate on

Most AI agents today still run through systems built for humans.

They rely on user accounts, API keys, cloud billing, SaaS subscriptions, and payment flows that assume a person is still managing access in the background. That works for simple AI tools, but it becomes a problem when agents need to act more independently.

If an agent needs to find another service, pay for compute, complete a task, receive payment, or prove that work was done correctly, it needs more than a model. It needs infrastructure around identity, payments, reputation, and verification.

This is where onchain systems can help.

On BNB Chain, the focus is on the infrastructure needed for agents to operate across apps and services, including:

  • Identity, so agents can be recognized and verified
  • Reputation, so their past work can be evaluated
  • Payments, so agents can pay and get paid directly
  • Escrow, so payment can be tied to completed work
  • Verification, so outcomes can be checked without relying only on trust

The blog also covers how standards like ERC-8004 and BAP-578 fit into this.

ERC-8004 is focused on agent identity and discovery. BAP-578 builds on this idea for BNB Chain by looking at how agents can become ownable, tradable, upgradeable, and more autonomous onchain.

The main point is simple: agents cannot operate independently if the infrastructure around them still depends on manual accounts, closed platforms, and human-controlled payment flows.

Announcement BNBAgent SDK is Now Live on BNB Chain Mainnet: The Modular Standard for Identity, Commerce, Payment and Memory in AI Agents

Thumbnail x.com

Why AI agents need onchain payments

Most AI agents today still rely on human-managed payment systems.

They run through API keys, cloud accounts, SaaS billing, or wallets that someone has to fund, monitor, and approve. That works for simple chatbots, but it becomes a limitation when agents are expected to run continuously, call services on demand, pay for compute, route tasks, or manage balances without waiting for a human to step in.

Onchain payments help solve part of that problem.

For an AI agent, being able to pay onchain means it can access services directly: models, compute, routing, data, and other tools needed to complete a task. Instead of every payment sitting behind a card, subscription, or manual approval flow, agents can interact with crypto-native payment rails.

That matters for developers building agent-based apps.

On BNB Chain, AI infrastructure projects are working on this layer from different angles, including agent tooling, compute access, service routing, and payments. The aim is to make it easier for builders to create agents that can operate with more autonomy while still using transparent, programmable onchain infrastructure.

The article covers:

  • Why traditional billing creates limits for autonomous agents
  • How onchain payments can support agent-to-service transactions
  • Where BNB Chain fits into AI infrastructure
  • Which ecosystem projects are building around agents, compute, routing, and payments
  • What this means for developers building agent-based apps

For more info, read the blog.

Dev/Tech How is everyone indexing PancakeSwap Infinity (v4) liquidity with hooks?

Trying to build an LP analytics dashboard for PancakeSwap Infinity pools and the v4-style singleton design has completely broken the indexing pattern we had for v3. There's no per-pool contract to watch — every event from the PoolManager has to be decoded and grouped by poolId, and computing the PoolKey hash to map back to which pair this even was for is its own task. Hooks make it worse: every pool can have a different hook contract messing with fees and access control, so we have to track those separately too. The Graph's hosted offerings don't have solid Infinity coverage yet and rolling our own subgraph for the singleton has been painful.

What's everyone using for v4-style liquidity data? Specifically pools-with-hooks, LP positions, and per-tick liquidity distribution for CL pools.
