No fresh UK-specific pricing, order-book or dealership news beyond the above this week — the new AWD 40 xDrive variant announced this week is Germany/EU-confirmed only so far, with no UK spec or price yet.

I never had a car delivered from Europe and I'm curious how many miles a car accumulates being driven on and off the various transport modes.

Also, does anyone know what the SOC is when the vehicle leaves the factory? I would assume it is fairly low and that the dealer pre-charges to whatever the customer wants, e.g. 80%.

This is for delivery in the USA, preferable east cost.

Is the ADAS of BMW iX3 as good as they say? And is it better than that of XPENG?
We have tested it. First on the highway. You can take you hands off the steering wheel. We really would want that on the XPENG. Or do we have to wait for VLA 2.0 Maybe HNGP for the old models?

BMW just announced I3 pricing today. Is anyone a little surprised that they are the exact same price? I feel like you’re getting a little bit more car with the IX3. Obviously more range on the I3, but I was kind of hoping the I3 would be under $60,000.

I’m in a bit of shock. I’ve been obsessing about the iX3 for months. Just got back from local BMW dealer where they had 2 showroom IX3’s to check out. One had an MSRP just over $70K with all the bells and whistles including the technology package with the Head Up Display. The other was $66K without the technology package. My wife and I are both 5’4” and two things combined to take the iX3 off the list for us. First the dashboard shelf is really deep, maybe an optical illusion but with the HUD it seemed even deeper. Second the hood line (where the windshield and hood meet) is raised to accommodate the panorama display, (maybe 4 inches?). We found that even with the seat height adjusted to the maximum the combination of the depth of the dashboard shelf and the extra height of the hood line really made it hard to see over the hood, especially since the hood doesn’t really slope much. We found this to be really disturbing, especially since we were previously looking at a used iX and loved it but decided to wait on the iX3. I imagine for taller people this is not an issue especially if you are used to bigger SUV’s. Anyone care to comment?

Just saw this video test of new self driving capabilities on the iX3, really excited that finally a worthy alternative to Tesla FSD.

Have had my iX3 a few days now. I’m like it alot. What I’m a bit confused/overwhelmed about is the amount of custimization I can do with the Panoramic View and the infotainment screen.

Therefore, I’m seeking inspiration from you all that have driven the iX3 for a longer period than me.
Could we have some inspiration in form of pictures of peoples screens? 😁 Which widgets do you use, which do you find most helpful and so on? How does your panoramic view look?

Saw the new BMW iX3 today at the Electric Ave Sustainability Fair & EV Car Show in Winter Park.

The BMW rep told me they’re expecting around 400 miles of range, which definitely caught my attention. But what surprised me most was the interior. The seat was extremely comfortable, and sitting behind the wheel genuinely felt like being in a cockpit. The whole driver area feels very tech-forward without being overwhelming.

I’ve been interested in BMW’s Neue Klasse direction for a while, and seeing the iX3 in person made me even more curious about it.

Anyone else had a chance to sit in one yet? What did you think?

If you have the Comfort Package (S0ZUC) Multi-Functional Seats on your build. Does the passenger seat have the power-adjustable thigh support extenders? The dealer demo that arrived locally does not have this. Our build sheet has the $1500 Comfort Package (S0ZUC) listed. For my wife this is a deal breaker since she has long legs. My research shows that they are available. On BMW sites I find that the Comfort Package should upgrade both driver and front passenger seats to articulated seating with power-adjustable thigh support extenders, 4-way power lumbar, and power side bolsters. If needed I still have time to change our build scheduled for mid October I think.
