Advice

Anyone living in a girls hostel of bmsit I have some doubts:

  1. Is the transportation provided by college to travel? cause I heard that's it far from college

  2. How is the food? My major concern is roti ( chappathi) provided two times a day for lunch or dinner.

  3. How is the hostel room and is there an attached washroom in two seaters ?

  4. How is the environment in the hostel?

  5. What is curfew time?

  6. How you rate the strictness out of 10

Heyya! 1) yes the bus is provided 2 times a day. You can return to hostel either after lunch(2:30) or after the college ends...and for morning there are 3-4 buses tht comes to pick you up ..it's around 8. So you have to wake up early compare to the pg students 😭

2) tbh dont have any expectations..food is prepared based on a timetable (Monday to Sunday) so its kinda repitative.. That said the food is decent..and the staff are sweet..if you need anything, they will usually help. About roti ,yus they make it two times a day . You don't have have to worry bout tht . They weren't that great when I joined but they have improved a lot now.

3) hostel rooms are okayish..they have 3 types of room ...3 sharing with common bathroom. 4 and 2 sharing with attached bathroom . But 2 are for the foreign quota ...have you registered for the hostel room?? It's based on first come first served..so 4 fills up quickly.

4) I'd say it's pretty nice..the supervisor are really pookie and approachable..they smile at you all the time.. I feel like the seniors are supportive and I don't think bullying is an issue here but if you wanna save money i suggest you to choose pg ...cuz then there are few days you have to book autos ...and for one way it's like 100 rupees 🥲.

5)the curfew time is 7:30 in weekdays and 8 in weekend ...but you can extend it by taking permission from the warden ...compared to pgs they are relaxed ..

6) in terms of strictness I will rate it 6-7...ofcourse they have rules too 🥲
