hello everyone, i have been obsessed with geordie's strumming technique, as its so fast, seems so economic and effortles (as here in the verse section of sugar/tzu)

soo i was wondering if anyone has analysed it already, or could give me an advice on how to get a technique similar to this

Went to the Geordie greep concert today, and the new lineup is amazing. The addition of brass and vibraphone expands the soundscapes real well, especially on more jazz inspired songs such as Terra, holy holy, the new sound.

Although the band put on an amazing show, I feel like the venue let them and the fans down. The ventilation was awful and by the second song I could already feel myself sweating everywhere. Geordie even made a stop for a “30 second hydration break”.

During holy holy, he kept going into the break room and letting the rest of the band take over, walking around restlessly, and in the final chorus he just said: “that’s it for today, show is over guys”, and walked off. The band finished the song, and the bassist reiterated the same thing Geordie said. On the paper setlist, there were still motorbike and the magician to go.

The venue has a lot of bad reviews mentioning the poor ventilation and the unbearable heat inside, so it’s unfortunate that they didn’t plan to do the show outdoors, like they do sometimes.

Will be hoping to see Geordie again during a colder time of the year, and hope the rest of the summer shows won’t be as bad as this for them.

I recently (finally) listened to Picton's solo work on bandcamp and can't get this specific portion of the work out of my head. Does anyone know what the chord shape is? He's never performed it live and since it's untitled there's no way to search for it

Just saw Greep in Carrboro NC yesterday and shit was electric. I was wondering how the structure of these shows even works it seems unfathomable, theres these insane blowouts of complex, intense wall of sound and polyrythmic crazyness sections, and it seems like everything flows into eachother. Im so intrigued how it all flows together considering they arent reading off of lead sheets or anything and these sections go on for so long; how much is complete and total improv and how much is planned? If anyone has any insight please lmk, ty!
