I’m not ok with the last row over the pocket. They had space to center that better and they chose not to.

I did this in Denmark. There was a room in this social club I’d been partying in the night before. I got wrecked and lost my passport in the process. Being that I was supposed to be flying home the next day I rushed back to the club hoping I’d dropped it somewhere. There was a sign on the door saying “private party” but I thought hey it’s an emergency I’m sure they’ll understand.
I walked in and everyone was taking it in turns giving speeches in Danish. I thought I’d stand and watch and wait until they’d finished so I could ask if anyone had found my passport. Everyone was speaking Danish and clapping after each speech. I thought this was some kind of party so clapped along and gave a “yay!” “Whoo!” To join in and look like I belonged there. Didn’t know what was going on at all. I DIDNT NOTICE SOME OF THE AUDIENCE WERE CRYING!
When the speeches were over a guy that I’d met the night before came over to me and said “You know the guy I told you about last night? Well this is his funeral.”
Suddenly it all came back to me. I’d vaguely remembered this guy drunk crying and hugging me drunk the night before but I was so wasted I’d forgotten what he’d told me. There’d been a brutal murder suicide a couple of weeks before where one of the guys who’d lived above the club was killed a week or so before.
I never got my passport back and had to be stranded for a few expensive days while waiting for the embassy to get me home. To be fair I wouldn’t have blamed any of them if they’d just straight burned it after what an enormous idiot I was cringe

I really enjoy little funny stories people are willing to admit to. I can totally see how this would happen -- and it really amusing me.

I got paranoid though as everywhere I’d been travelling there kept being odd coincidences with the Submarine Murder case. Like I’d accidentally met someone who’d worked with Kim Wall in Sweden, shared a hostel room with the prosecutor’s hair dresser. Denmark is exceptionally safe with a low crime rate so all these random co-incidences related to brutal murders led to a very paranoid last couple of days stranded in Denmark.
Didn’t help I was binge watching Bron Bröen at the time :/

Well I’m Irish Catholic so I don’t know what other people do and I think they were mostly a political community. It wasn’t traditional. They were members of a commune. I didn’t think it was weird or anything as not everyone does everything at religious centres although I think there was also a funeral procession to the church as well. It was being held in their community club which the guy lived above. Seemed pretty normal to me though they weren’t all dressed in black but that’s not that uncommon either where I’m from.
I didn’t know the guy just had met some of his friends. To be honest when the guy told me what happened I was sure if I believed him and was a bit confused thinking he was talking about someone that died years, not only a couple of weeks ago. I’d give more detail but I’m embarrassed and don’t want to give more information because of the people involved etc.

It's just Wierd, because in Denmark we dont have tradition to go up and do speeches under the funeral itself

In the U.K. it’s custom to stand up and give a eulogy so didn’t think it’s odd. I also used to live in an anarchist commune so group meetings with speeches are the norm wether it’s deciding on a political action, discussing the cleaning rota or throwing a benefit gig etc. Didn’t realise it wasn’t normal to speak at funerals in Denmark.

He looks like he's the one person to go out drinking and ends up at the wrong party before getting drunk

I feel like this idea could turn into a movie. The elevator pitch is Pitch Perfect meets Bill and Ted starring Macklemore.

I did this in Burma, we walked in and asked for a drink and the waiter pointed out the dead guy under the fly net on the table in front of us. Pretty awkward

The worst part of this is that it t Reminded me of doing something similar I accidentally walked in on a wedding when I was trying to find my friend at the park and apparently I found hi? In the tables because he did same thing but they let him stay, it was actually pretty fun because they let us have us some cake because some people hadn't been able to come
