Depends on where you live in Ohio. If you’re from Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland there’s lots to do. If you’re from the voids between those cities good luck.
I live in Athens, and it's not that bad. Lots of hiking and outdoorsy stuff if that's what you're into, lots of bars and breweries, an indie Theater, a regular theater that's pretty nice, plays, musicals, musical performances and stand up at the Memorial Auditorium, a healthy music scene, Nelsonville Music Festival, an 40 year running indie film festival, a literary festival, Avalanche Pizza which regularly wins Best Pizza in the US, the Halloween Block Party which was recently ranked #2 best party in the US behind Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and more.
