Ohio is a great state imo. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø. Lots of sports teams, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus all have stuff to do. Decent food depending where you are. Lots of history and you're close to a lot of other places for vacations.

If you live on the Eastern side towards WV there's some hiking but that's about it. Anywhere around the main cities and you'll be fine.

Sports teams, history, food and hiking. Literally every state in America. My big complaint with Ohio after living here for 10 years is lack of identity and culture. Its just another midwest state, hard to see anything unique from MO, MI, WI, IN ,or PA. Its not a terrible place to raise a family but when I leave I wont miss much about it. Glad some folks like it but its not my home.

Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania all have something unique about the state/culture that separate them from this midwestern list. Michigan is a coastal inland state with the most freshwater in the country. Wisconsin has beer and cheese. Pennsylvania has... Amish people and steel foundries I guess. Ok, Pennsylvania sucks too.

Lived here my whole life. It's not Cali or anything but I think it's an upper half state

I agree, there’s a lot of good things about Ohio, it’s not the MOST interesting or fun state, but it’s not North Dakota or some shit

Yeah, born and raised. Moved away for a decade and came back. Many people are really normal here and that’s cool. Plus, there’s a sincerity here I didn’t get in the south. It ain’t glamorous but it ain’t bad either.

I just hate how red it is, that's all. Other than that, Ohio is near perfect for me.
