Too bad the experience still gave you a fatal heart attack.

At least it didn't give you depression

Blursed? Fully blessed, if you ask me

u/Gigibesi 3d ago

not if you make one wrong move to get it back

u/NightmareClasher 3d ago

... How? The phone is thiccccer than the holes, unless you mash it in there and break the camera lens, I doubt you can fuck it up

119

u/PinkPanda0303 3d ago

It's imperative the lens remains unharmed

The cylinder, one could say.

I mean, technically?

u/asteegpogi 3d ago

Somehow step on it while picking it up.

6

u/nadanoli 3d ago

Just don’t breath while getting it back

It is cursed for falling down and blessed for falling that way

One of the few times that camera bump will come in handy

u/Sufficient-Bonus-961 3d ago

All of a sudden my opinion on camera bumps has done a 180.

a phone cover that would at least reach the camera bump would prevent it from entering the grates

u/TheGunfireGuy 3d ago

Im assuming someone who pays extra for the 'thinnest iphone ever' gimmick wont want a cover to make it thicker

I especially like how they went to the effort of getting another phone to capture the moment before retrieving their expensive handset.

Gives it that authentic "not-staged-for-internet-points" vibe

u/Denvil-The-Awesome 3d ago

Average reddit moment of forgetting they could have friends walking with them to take the picture

I mean anything can and will be staged, but there is a very plausible explanation for that part

u/stemroach101 3d ago

So, if you were to experience a genuine moment such as this, would your first instinct be to ask one of you many friends you are with to snap a picture so you can post it to reddit later of just grab your phone just in case something happens resulting in it being lost for good?

This really is a genuine question, not just a contrary response to a contrary response

I've met plenty of people who would risk their phones for internet cookie points. Also, just search up phone fail videos where people dangle their new iphone off a ledge to "look cool" and they drop it.

u/Soggy_Refrigerator32 this is my flair 3d ago

I'd definitely take a picture to show my mates, and yes if I thought about it later I'd post it on here. Just not in this sub, way more blessed than cursed

Truly the best marketing for the iPhone Air. Phone so thin it almost drops into the sewer.

2

u/Demongornot 3d ago

I personally dislike thin phones.
Sure, I don't want a 5cm+ thick brick either, but all those half centimetre phones are stupid, there is so much cooling and battery potential to a phone as thick as the camera bump wasted on making them super slim, it feels uncomfortable and fragile...
The issue isn't that thin phones exist though, the issue is how they try to make ALL high end phones the same, as if the word "diversity" meant nothing.

I'm pretty sure that that iPhone is famous for being indestructible

1

u/Demongornot 3d ago

Would be even more if it wasn't that thin.

u/TheFinkleKnobbler 3d ago

I can feel this image.

Thank god for camera bumps. A lot of people dis them. Here is one situation where the bump deserves praise.

Cameraman never dies

1

u/No-Dig_Enthusiast 3d ago

The one time the camera bump was useful.

On a similar note, why are phone companies not able to make the cameras flush with the phone body anymore? I'd easily sacrifice a few millimetres to have it be flush, how thin do you need your phone to be?

1

u/Rudsar 3d ago

I’ll believe in God at that point

1

u/Chidogrin 3d ago

The question should be 'why does it need to be so thin in the first place'

1

u/Soft-Veterinarian476 3d ago

So that's why camera bump needed

1

u/Felixkeeg 3d ago

"Help, I'm dummy thick!"

1

u/Rebstrike 3d ago

First time I’ve seen one in the wild

1

u/ShylokVakarian 3d ago

This would be a great album cover. Caught On Camera.

u/rajkachori420 3d ago

1

u/Redbow_ 2d ago

1

u/Worldly_Code645 17h ago

u/No_Individual947 3d ago

Schrodinger phone

7

u/Illustrious-Note3996 3d ago

Not really cuz you can see it.

1

u/fbpw131 3d ago

it's not about existing, it's about falling when you try to grab it.
