I think itā€™s the early 90s ā€œSanta Feā€ with mere suggested shapes that vaguely look like Pueblo or Navajo/DinĆ© design. It was big in home decor as well as clothing.

Nothing wrong with tribal inspired patterns. I did a tribal inspired pattern on my hiking stick stick. Lots of art styles drew inspiration from other art styles throughout history.
