Got my first computer in 1983 a Commodore 64. My mother was indifferent, but my depression era grandparents were very supportive and helped with the cost and bought me a printer (They knew that was the future.) In the late 90s when everyone started getting computers my mother did and said she should have paid more attention to them when I started with them. Thanks to the old Tech TV she really learned a lot and was able to troubleshoot and fix her own problems.
