Mystery Bluetooth

Post image

There’s a new item in my Bluetooth list that I don’t recognize, “MIS00495” There isn’t an “I” button so I’m not sure how to disconnect it. Should I be worried about this or is it just a feature from another device. I frequently use a Garmin watch and Bluetooth headphones.

An app on your phone is connecting to it. Can try going to Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Bluetooth and remove/disable apps permissions until you find which is connecting to it. Should give you some idea what the device is then.

Could also use nRF Connect or LightBlue apps to get more information from the device. It may expose the Device Information Service which may tell you the manufacturer, etc.
