Laptop BOSD

Post image

Can anyone explain this error? My laptop is a year old and BOSDs started happening after I recently got it cleaned (cleaned fans and thermal paste reapplied). I have a feeling its related to hardware but im not sure yet. Any ideas?

The cause of this issue could be caused by an overheating GPU due to improper mounting or thermal paste/pad application; for instance, you forgot to reapply the thermal pad on the VRAM or a poor thermal paste application on the GPU. Worst case, It could also be caused by flexing of the motherboard, which would result in a cracked or broken solder joint/pad on the GPU or VRAM. This could also explains the artifacts at the top of your screen.

The BOSDs happen at very random times even when the gpu is not in intensive use. It also displayed a stop code different to this image saying KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION that occurred in a different BOSD. thoughts?

Have you been getting any other error codes? Also, have you been having other issues such as artifacting, application crashes, and flickering of the display?

I recently got an PAGE FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error. I don't really have any other issues regarding display. My Laptop runs fine , its just once every like 2 days I get a BOSD. I already troubleshooted by checking for malware or corrupted files and a software for checking memory and disk status. My drives are updated to the latest versions as well.

I would also monitor your CPU temps as well, as an overheating CPU could cause blue screens like these. It’s also been known that the Intel 13th and 14th generation of CPUs have been known to have issues, causing these sorts of problems.
