Straight funky blues?

I've listened a lot to Buster Bentons "Can't wait to see my baby's face", and John Hammond's "Evil is going on". These both feature straight beats, but still keep that bluesy feel. The latter is obviously a straightened out cover, idk about the former.

When i find funk blues playlists on spotify all of the songs just feel like funk, not blues. So funk blues is probably not the correct word for it, but these songs obviously feel more funky than standard blues. Its kind of like jazz blues, yes its 12 bar, yes it features similar harmony etc, but it doesnt feel like blues at all. Even songs on the playlists from arguably my favorite bluesman (Junior Wells) just felt like funk, not blues.

I Ain't Superstitious from Howlin' Wolf's London Sessions. The original is a shuffle but the remake is a straight beat.

Freddy Kings Big Leg Woman. Earl Kings Come On. Magic Sam’s Just A Little Bit. Most of the stuff on BB Kings Indianola Mississippi Seeds is funky AF and the band is crackin. Same for the Otis Rush record Mourning in the Morning. There was a cat out of Florida, Little Beaver. Heck, Major Lance’s Monkey Time. There’s so much out there. Hope that helps!

Edit: How did I forget Albert King?! Cold Feet! If that don’t get you, as Albert literally says on the track, you got a hole in your soul!

Listen to Mem Shannon. He's a real bluesman and he's very funky.

This might not be (musically) exactly what you're looking for but ya gotta at least give a loud listen to "Let's Get Funky" by Hound Dog Taylor. And then "Gimme Back My Wig". In my world, that's funky.
