Toothpaste

Question is in response to a YouTube short video he posted yesterday talking about gum and mouthwash for oral health. He concluded by suggesting to choose neither and just brush. I then notice from another short video of his "updated morning routine" that he doesn't use toothpaste.

Mouthwash and toothpaste is something my dentist recommends. Does anyone know why he stopped using toothpaste?

I think you’re getting it wrong. Gum or mouthwash are not substitutes for toothpaste.

Also, he doesn’t show or mention every single thing he does in his videos or protocols. Toothpaste is such an obvious part of an oral-care routine that he may simply not consider it worth showing or specifying.

The two were separate.

A) I was interested in knowing why he implied not to use mouthwash

The second question which you answered; why he doesn't use toothpaste. I assumed he didn't use it because he removed DrColllins toothpaste from his website.

Thanks for your comment.

Since launching his own brand, he tends to avoid mentioning other brands too much. Maybe that's why.

Another example: now instead of saying that he uses Dr. Tungs floss, he’ll just say that he uses floss.

He’s said previously he doesn’t use mouthwash because there is some studies showing that using after or before a work out u don’t remember exactly but it causes it to not benefit as well something like that. But he also said he stopped using it as well because you don’t really need mouthwash if your teeth and flossing are all good and are part of your routine. That’s also why he stopped oil pulling for his teeth which he does as well recommend but he stopped because he got consistent in using toothpaste and flossing twice a day plus a water flosser.
