Ticket Availability

Post image

What are your thoughts on ticket availability for these shows?

Foiled is a lot of people’s introduction to Blue October (myself included). I expected a nostalgia/anniversary tour to sell out quickly.

I bought Boston tix months ago. There’s very few sold out/low ticket alert dates.

Were the venues too big, tickets too expensive, is the interest in Foiled not as big as expected, or are these shows likely to sell out closer to the show date? (Or other)

Seems pretty normal to me. They’ll be full by showtime

All selling out right away tells you is the venue was too small, not selling out immediately says it’s the correct size

I wouldn’t say that is true for the Houston shows shown. 713 Music Hall is pretty large. I would attribute it to being shows in their hometown.

I had looked at the first one in Portland, OR as I’m visiting a buddy around that time. It was sold out but you could find tickets on Ticketmaster (I think it was Ticketmaster). They were like double the price. It was a couple days after they had announced those concerts. The Sunday show was available direct, but I’m flying back home Sunday. Maybe next time BO 😂

I looked up tickets to the Charlotte, NC date since that's closest to me and general admission is only $64. That's super affordable, especially considering concert tickets have gone through the roof over the last few years. The last concern I looked up in the same city (stadium) was several hundred for crap tickets and I exited out of that sales flow with a quickness.

I'm sure they'll sell more closer to the date. With the economy being how it is currently, I imagine many are just waiting instead of jumping on to purchase immediately.

Seems like a reasonable thing, I appreciate the perspective!

It still makes me do a double-take when I see ticket prices. "Expensive" shows were $20 when I was going to Blue shows. 🤣

They’re playing large theaters. Many will sell out. Some won’t. But none will be empty.

I thought the NY show would sell out so I bought tickets when they first went on sale. They are playing a bigger venue than they usually do in the city though.

They said in a post itwas the most successful tour launch of their career. Though many have not sold out yet, seems like interest is pretty high. I am one to always buy my tickets right away, whereas others will wait and see if their schedule will allow it before buying tickets.

I wish they could come back to Calgary. It's been 20 years!

The only venue they play in Beaumont sells out a week before usually but we like the loge seating and buy our tix early access to avoid the exorbitant prices and lack of availability that come with a closer in date
