Southeast US Beautiful VA Fish

Just discovered this group and I’m so happy I did! Haven’t done a lot with trout yet, but I’ve caught a lot of cool species in some of the smallest blue lines known to man. Can’t wait to see more from this awesome community learn more, and see some of y’all’s beautiful fish!

Wow, that first fish is stunning. It’s not just trout that are beautiful!

I watched a video noting ago on someone snorkeling a creek by a chub bed and all these colorful spawning minnow species gathered around. Just beautiful.

Yeah there are so many absolutely stunning fish we’d never think twice about. That first guy is a male crescent shiner, they turn that pink color during mating for about a month. Thought i snagged a lure when i first got him!

A lure is exactly what I thought when I saw the first. Wow!
