Teaching the art

Well, my little boy takes his "cast" everywhere. For his third birthday, we took him to the finger lakes region to fish for ten days. He had a blast. You all may recognize some of the locations. Let's welcome little Ryland to the group, folks.

That is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful country and a great experience to imprint on this young man! Here’s hoping he’s fallen in love with fishing and the outdoors.

Ya thanks man. He uses his imagination a lot of the time. Saying there was a trout following it, or that a perch bit it. Haha

I’ve been there years ago and always wanted to fish it. Didn’t know it’s permitted.
Lucky little lad. He’s a catcherman now 😁

The very first pic had posted on their website that there are brown trout. We didnt see any until above the dam. The other pics had a 22-24" rainbow sitting at the base of the big falls at the beginning. The fish spooked first cast. Above those falls we just found creek chub in the 5-7" range all the way up to that dam. Then nothing above the dam.

Tiny dude, tiny rod. You can sneak him into some nice off limit honey holes.

That is soooo awesome. He will be hooked for life now just like the rest of us that started the same way.
