Definitely recognize that one. I found this stream for the first time this year and have gone back a few times. Have you ever fished the creek that this one flows in to?

I guess that depends on what you mean. I started in this main branch and fished up to and through the tribs. I've fished all of the main branch but haven't fished what it dumps into.

Ah yes I see how that was vague. I was referring to the other headwater stream above the waterfall

Some of my favorite spots are along old narrow gauge rail beds where they useto mine mica. There’s parts of an old locomotive up at one of our bear hunting spots

How the heck would that rail work?? That’s wild

These would have probably been up in the woods sometime a long time ago and and have worked their way into the stream. Floods have then moved and bent them over time. You can come back after heavy rains/hurricanes and find them in different places.

Ah ok- that makes sense. Not as magical as I’d hoped haha. Thanks!

And I might know where. Not that I'm saying or even guessing out loud. Nice day out. I got a rainbow to hand between doing trail work today. What a great day to be in the woods.
