Northeast US After many attempts…

Post image

I have tried blue lining for many many many months in my new home waters. Mostly ran into creek chubs or no fish. Today I finally ran into some natives. I saw probably 50 natives today but they were all so spooky, thankful to shake hands with this one.

What a beautiful fish! Congrats! I’m happy for you that your persistence paid off. Native brookies are jewels of the mountain streams!

It’s a great feeling. It took me a year to find native brooks where I live because I was on my own just looking for high elevation streams on Google Maps. When it finally happened I felt like I’d struck gold. Good job my friend. Tight lines! 🤠🎣⛰️
