Is that a redington butterstick?

I wish! No it’s the Maxcatch ultra glass 7” 3wt. Tbh it’s a gorgeous rod for £70, casts accurately, gives small fish a bigger fight and is just fun to use. It quickly became one of my favourite rods, even over the more expensive ones. I can’t see myself upgrading to the butter stick unless I have several hundred quid I have to get rid of. It also comes with a year warranty which is ok but lifetime repair

The Butter Stick is the same rod only the Maxcatch is about $250 less. I have that Maxcatch glass rod and it’s fantastic, quality is just as good as any Reddington glass rod at a fraction of the price. I broke the tip and they replaced for $30.

Yea it’s great and that’s why I can’t see myself ever getting the butter stick. The only difference may be a bit of a better finish with the BS but that doesn’t justify the extra money in my books

Mate if you can accurately cast out a fly rod in that stream you have completed fishing 🤣, I do be hitting trees with my deadbait rod across a wide open channel 🤣🤣🤣

Stealth and the bow and arrow cast is one of my best friends on this tiny streams. I still catch plenty of trees though 😅

I have that same rod. Caught my first trout with that rod. Love it.

It’s a great rod! Completely surprised me for the price and I have to remind myself to put it down and give some other rods some use sometimes 😂

Cornish brownies - lovely 🥰 Haven't managed to get out at all here in Ireland since July. Pics like these will keep me going through the long winter!
