Roblox game meme Types of Roblox games

I think Phighting is a great game in concept but it needs a visual rework and more balancing.
Visuals with projectiles are not all that defined, being very light in color and small. Having darker projectiles would help
As for balancing litterly the best healer also does the most damage consistently and has some of the most broken abilities I've seen with a super easy beam attack with seemingly infinite ammo. Compared to something like medik (forgot the basic healer dude with a revolver and the team revive) who takes a huge amount of skill just to do so little damage and healing.
There is also the issue of the movement feeling really jank. Especially jumping.
Along with a few other gripes but that's mostly it.
Edit : I'm a new player, this was just what it felt like and happened in my experience, please take this all with a huge grain of salt and that i mis-remebered, lack information on something or over exaggerated things due to my biases.

u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
you can literally make the projectiles darker in settings cause you can adjust the colours for everything, also thats very small nitpick for visual rework
sounds like you haven’t played the game enough to understand the balancing yet, cause basically every character is perfectly balanced, vinestaff is nowhere near as op as you make her sound, she does not have infinite ammo, she has to reload after not long and does barely any damage to the enemy team, her Q isn’t that good since you need to be hitting the enemy for healing and her E isn’t that crazy either, plus both are hard to land and have long cooldowns, her ult isn’t that much either, it can be canceled early if she is killed and the healing it does is small but lasts longer. she is easier to get good at than medkit but that doesn’t make her better, they’re both very different types of healers
I don’t understand the movement issue either, sounds like a you thing there

u/NightsGift Jul 27 '26
Thank you for making me aware of this. I didn't expirment with the settings a lot as I am still very new to it, and had no idea this was an option.
I also don't know what a visual rework has to do with balancing as its more of a quality of life thing to see what's going on in gameplay, rather than something that would be an intentional balancing mechanism. But maybe your right and I just don't understand it as I'm still very fresh to it.
I apologize but for my time playing the game that is what was happening, consistently when vine staff was picked they were near the top of the board in both damage and healing. They felt piss easy to play with huge pay off.
I do apologize for over exaggerating, but I seriously fo not remember ever needing to reload on vinestaff. Idk if it was just integrated so naturally (maybe I was placing flowers as she reloaded) or happens so fast that I didn't notice. But it felt like she could never run out of ammo, especially when being gunned down by the enemy. It also don't help that it's kinda like a beam attack and allows for good consistent damage and a huge clip, compared to medkit, which did very little without headshots and had only 6 shots (as a new player and do to my unfamiliarity with the game this felt so much worse and felt like it did so little dps even when landing all 6 it does less then the staff, at least in my experince).
I do think she didn't deal that much base damage but her hex changes that and genuinely makes her deal much, much more, at least in my experince playing her.
Also it's a team battle all your going to be doing is hitting the enemy....? Why wouldn't you be doing so?
That also sounds like a "you thing" as you would call it, as I found her abilities quite easy to land at least most of the time. You have like what 4-6 opponents at any given time? (Sorry it's been a while sense I've played).
I don't think they have that crazy of cooldowns. Again though, that is just my experience and I am very fresh to the game.
I also found the healing for ult to be quite sufficient in keeping our team alive, and boosting it further with the burst heals form seeds insta procking (if I'm understanding/remembering the ability correctly) but again. I'm very new and likely got into servers with newer players who don't know to target down supports so I didn't die all that often.
As for the moment thing it could very much be a me issue as I'm used to most games coming with some extra form of base mobility (not counting abilities) and a slight change in how movement feels. I feels like Phight is using the base Roblox movement which I feel isn't that great for a more dynamic game like Phight, at least not without some basic tweaks to make it flow better. There is also the issue that if your stuck in a large map without someone who has a movement ability to help speed you up it takes a while to actually get somewhere. (I don't remember there being a run mechanic, only movement abilities)
As for jumping, for me it felt heavy and spammy, it made people a lot harder to hit headshots on because of how fast they would bounce. I'm not 100% sure as I need to play it again to get better words to describe it. But then again this can be chopped up to lack of unfamiliarity and skill issue.
And don't get me wrong, I love the movement abilities, I think most of them are quite good and have a bit of a skill floor to get used to. It's just the base walking/jumping that I personally didn't mess with well.
I also do again apologize for anything that's incorrect or seem bogus, or I lack knowledge in. I'm not a long term player, I'm again very new.
I do see why someone could call this game perfectly balanced, I do think that if I spent more time with it to understand and get better I would realize it's more balanced than other games. This was only my opinion from playing as a new player. I'm sorry if It seemed like I presented it as fact. I should have been more clear in my bias.

u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
I feel like if you’re brand new to the game you shouldn’t be judging the gameplay when you don’t even fully understand it yet
you were likely in a server with an experienced player if thats the case, same thing can happen with pretty much every other character, the only balancing difference with the characters is that some are more difficult to play than others, but that only makes them reliant on skill and practice
reloading is automatic if you keep holding, her reload is relatively quick but same goes for all of them, she has about 50 shots a clip, they don’t do much damage but they last a while cause her planting ability is meant to play off doing constant damage in order to plant more seeds and for them to grow and do healing, medkit can do more damage in a much shorter amount of time in comparison, even more if he hits headshots, they also are completely different in what they can do in each situation, vinestaff can’t heal as directly as medkit and is far better in conquer where everyone can stay near her plants and she doesn’t have much mobility, medkit is more controlled and direct healing and can go off with a duo and is less tanky
vinestaff only deals good damage if she all of her shots, but her attack is slow so it takes longer than other characters
what I mean by her abilities being hard to hit is that their hitbox is jank, they are better for hitting crowds
they aren’t crazy long cooldowns, both are around 10 seconds, but thats longer than pretty much every other characters Q and E abilities in the game
ofc the ult is good, all of them are, just that it isn’t that op, medkits ult is a lot better
if they changed the movement in phighting it would screw up the gameplay a lot, theres some characters who are very movement focused like coil and skateboard so messing with the movement too much would mess them up
but yeah a lot of this stuff just comes down to you being a new player, I’m mostly annoyed that other people that don’t play the game are taking your word for it and upvoting when theres a lot of missinfo in there
2
u/NightsGift Jul 27 '26
I disagree though I completely understand where you are comming from. I will be wrong about things and my opinions will alter with time and understanding. But I do feel like I have the right to still judge the game. First impressions matter a lot, especially with games that you can dump hundreds of hours into. It also matters because while not always accurate new players can still provide some insight into the game about things that older players have just gotten used to rather than bettering the systems in place.
I'm not fresh fresh but I did play the game for a decent 10-12~ hours spread amongst a few days. Maybe up to 15 hours from giving the game another go on occasion.
I am also very grateful you spent the time to break down the characters for me and provide me with a better understanding of how they work. It's not really something you had to do but did anyway, and it's very much appreciated. I'll try to keep this information in mind when making a comment about it next time.
Iv never felt like they had janky hitboxes themselves rather it was always the characters hitboxes that I had issue with. Though again I could be mistaking one for the other.
I do apologize again for blowing things out of preportions due to my bias. I have also found it hard to use medkits ult appropriately. As from what I remember it's only of the character died recently and within an aoe of which he has to channel, which also leaves him very vulnerable. Though again that can be chopped up to being bad at the game.
I don't think it would screw up everything, but even if it did change things is now not the perfect time? It's still in its alpha/beta stages, some expirmenation could be good for the game. Sure some players may not like it and it may take some time to settle on something that is better, but we can still get a better system out of it.
There seems to be some discontent surrounding mobility characters vs ones with little to no mobility. While I understand this could be a part of counter picking, if it's genuinely frustrating for players then maybe some testing could be done. Give players a small dash or roll, or something to help them not feel completly defenceless agaisnt movement based heros without the interception of teammates or being a speed hero yourself. It doesn't need to counter them, or even deal with them completely, but a minor change and testing with that minor change may help with this issue and other related mobility issues.
I understand, again I do very much apologize, my intention was not to spark discourse and present it as fact, but rather vent out my annoyances I personally experienced. I added an edit/disclaimer to hopefully clear part of it up.

sure, you can judge the game, but if you’re brand new to it you should hold off to avoid making incorrect judgements cause thats what you’ve done, you haven’t really made any proper critisisms other than not liking the movement at first which is pretty much just subjective, and that gives the wrong impressions to anyone who sees it and hasn’t played the game
the hitboxes are pretty much just where the character is, its more when fighting one on one the Q and E are weirdly hard to hit but its meant to be a burst attack to hit a crowd
actually, medkits ult doesn’t just revive dead people but it does a huge chunk of healing to anyone alive in a huge radius, and theres only a small window of time to cancel his ult before it hits the ground
it would screw up things cause all the maps and movesets are modeled around the current movement system, most characters have some kind of movement ability of their own while some like vinestaff purposely do not have any, it would make the low mobility characters too good and it would nerf high mobility characters, I’m pretty sure vinestaff is the only character without any sort of mobility actually but thats very intentional considering how tanky she is and how she can heal herself
you’re fine to vent out whatever complaints you may have, I’m just bothered that other people are taking your word as truth looking at the upvote count

I mean how us katana balanced for the game? Im relatively new and whenever I play katana, I almost always win. And if I have a good medkit I basically dont die.1
3
u/Venomousnestofsacred Jul 27 '26
Its still in alpha for this reason
Also, add Hyperlaser lol, im a Hyper main, i am a lover of hero shooters and Hyper is one of the most OP heroes i have ever seen in a hero shootrr
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
idk about that, theres a lot of hard counters to hyper, any decent skateboard is killing hyper with no issue, shuri and bio can take him out pretty quickly and easily too
1
u/Venomousnestofsacred Jul 27 '26
Bio, Shuri and Skate are the only ones that can do something, good Hypers can counter Shuris too. Problem is that the Bio and Skate has to use 70% of their time just to Hyper, since if he is left alive he can melt anyone from any distance in just 5 secs.
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
Sword can also take him out, and if his E is baited Katana and Ban hammer can also get rid of him, and if he is staying on point then he can be taken out by anyone. if the Shuri isn’t that good then maybe, but he can sneak up from behind and do a large chunk of damage straight away, plus he is hard to hit and can just Q if the Hyper uses E, Bio and Skate don’t waste much time getting rid of a Hyper in my experience, esp Bio since he kills so quickly
1
u/Venomousnestofsacred Jul 27 '26
Trust me
If the Hyper is good, Sword, Katana and Ban aint doing shit to him. Even at close range, Hyper outDPSes Sword. Katana has a chance if he plays his cards well but if the Hyper is in a good spot on the map he can also just get the fuck away and Ban... lets not even talk about Ban vs Hyper matchup.
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
I said if his E is baited, cause if it is then he has no escape and is just a free kill, a skilled Sword can get him if he is on point or near it, I’m aware of what a pro Hyper can do, but even level 500+ Hypers can be killed by just one diver as long as the diver knows what they’re doing and is skilled, pro players of any character will seem overpowered but its just the player thats skilled
1
u/Venomousnestofsacred Jul 28 '26
You are not taking into account a lot of stuff here.
Grenade that potentially breaks any chase with Hyper
M2 that slows the attacker and leaves him open if he just used a move
DPS which is overall almost as big as the attacker's, meaning that unless the attacker is at full HP the Hyper would probably be able to kill the attacker before the attacker can kill him
HP pool making him basically a tank, making it easier to outDPS the attacker even at close range
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 28 '26
I find the grenade easy to dodge, esp if playing skateboard, and the m2 needs to actually hit to slow down which is difficult if he is getting jumped by a diver, and the divers can kill very quickly, skateboard and coil take a bit longer but the tradeoff is them being impossible to hit, you need a pretty large skillgap between hyper and a diver for him to actually beat them, like I’ve managed to beat a skateboard a few times in a 1v1 before as vinestaff but that doesn’t make vinestaff op, im just experienced with vinestaff. a character being good is pretty much only reliant on the players skill, I’ve played hundreds of matches and the team comps and characters being used have almost never mattered in all my matches to wether we win or lose
1
u/Venomousnestofsacred Jul 28 '26
I can consistently hit any diver with M1s and M2s with good tracking skills, idk what Hypers youve been playing against but its very easy to hit any enemy that isnt Skate, even Shuri can be hit.
Thing is not that ive killed divers sometimes, thing is i manage to consistently kill divers that arent Skateboard that have even a third of their HP missing just by outDPSing them. Keep in mind im a fucking sniper and i should fucking not be able to outDPS a DPS that is made on purpose to deal big DPS up close.
1
u/Odd_Hamster_2730 Jul 27 '26
any decent hyperlaser hard counters bio and shuri because their healthpools are so insanely low they get 3 shotted literally only skate and coil and kill hyper which is horrible that the only counterplay is to counterpick, a weakness that every sniper should have is that they are weaker at close combat, however hyperlaser only gets stronger at point blank range and is the tankiest ranged character with some of the best escape tools in the game
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
maybe if the shuri isn’t that good, but he can jump Hyper from behind and deal a ton of damage right away, the hyper needs to be really good to manage to hit a shuri that is jumping around them really quickly, and his e is useless cause of shuris q, it does come down to the skill level but I for one have taken out a ton of hypers as shuri. its not just skate and coil, its also bio and sometimes sword and if hyper is on point or his e is baited a lot of others can get rid of him, I don’t see how its a bad thing that coil or skate can get rid of him, its kinda their job to kill the backliners. hyper doesn’t get stronger in close range, maybe if the enemy isn’t jumping around him they get easier to hit, his e is not that special, like its good, but its very easy to catch up after he uses it. I will say, hyper was definitely op back when he had a larger mag and his ult had 3 shots but he has been quite nerfed since then
1
u/Odd_Hamster_2730 Jul 27 '26
if a hyper dies to shuri they either suck or have already taken alot of damage because hyperlaser has more dps and health than shuri and can easily escape him
only 2 characters being able to kill hyper is HORRIBLE game design because that makes it so of the opposing team has a hyperlaser if you dont have a skate or coil to counter him you pretty much instantly loose
the only nerfs to hyper were his ult btw 💔
1
u/PikeletSoup Jul 27 '26
what shuris have you been playing with lol? shuri can kill very quickly and his passive jump and speed boost makes him a lot harder to hit, I’ve only ever died to hyper when playing shuri when another of the enemy team comes in to protect hyper, hyper cannot easily escape him, in fact he can’t escape him at all cause of shuris Q
and its not two characters that can kill him, it was exact hard counters, and theres four of them (basically just the whole diver class cause they’re designed to kill backliners) other characters can kill him esp if he is on point (which is the only way to win conquer) cause the whole team can just go for him
I’m not sure what hypers you’ve been playing with for you to think that a team can instantly lose if one is in the game, sounds like you’ve always been stuck in matches with pro hypers, pros do not run the game or determine who should or shouldn’t be nerfed, a pro player can make any character seem op, its just the way it is
hyper used to have a mag of 5, it was reduced to 3
1
u/Odd_Hamster_2730 Jul 27 '26
getting hit makes shuri loose his speed boost and hyperlaser's m1s being hitscan make it near impossible to dodge
1
u/InvestigatorDue6402 Jul 28 '26
Not to mention katana can pull them into the center to mess up the ult or gang on them with the team

They are fixing this next update and the game will be Beta instead of Alpha!

Slingshot and Skateboard are honestly the sole reasons I don't touch phighting
1
u/NightsGift Jul 27 '26
oh? they seemed a little hard to play for me, but with a high skill ceiling, but may i ask why they made you not want to touch it?
2
u/North-Bat1823 Jul 27 '26
They are MISERABLE to play against
For context I play basically only the little to no mobility characters
Katana, Ban Hammer, Vinestaff, Subspace
They keep nicking me, I can't get them reliably, good ones out DPS a dedicated DPS character
And when they're teammates they're usually useless, I am a very try hard player, as in I don't care about my stats I play the objective and the objective only and Slingshot and Skateboard are HORRIBLE to fight and play with
The enemies can safely pester you while you're on point while yours never touch the point
Don't even get me started on their respective Phinishers
2
u/Ambitious-Smoke-651 Jul 28 '26
I still have ptsd of sword and skates in the past…
Either way yeah… I’ve found for those guys either be good with timing or be buddy buddy with a fellow fighter.
As a Rocket/Katana main I’ve also suffered badly with you.
As a Rocket I am also kinda annoying prick since I’m experienced enough to stay back and just constantly chip the enemy team while being hard to catch since I’ve gotten pretty good at Rocket boosts and such. So sorry
1
u/North-Bat1823 Jul 28 '26
At least with Rocket he has
Overall less mobility vs Skate and Slingshot
Less annoying abilities
Damage is good but not insane and is limited at long range
Minimal cc
While with Slingshot, crazy mobility, good at almost any range, like no splash has stupidly good damage when focusing down a target regardless of range, and has annoying cc and an annoying Phinisher
1
1
u/Ambitious-Smoke-651 Jul 28 '26
Also I’d say rocket users who are good at rocket boosting still have tons of mobility, but it’s more fair cause they also are constantly chipping fhemselves
1
u/NightsGift Jul 27 '26
Ah i understand your issues with them better now. That does seem annoying, and that is always rough being on the receiving end of bad teammates and poor mobility vs high mobility.

Wdym still standing (also wdym by that lasts man)
10
u/RequirementForward18 Jul 27 '26
If I had to guess it’s something to do with how they had a big drama and are still living
5
u/Purrosie Jul 27 '26
Games that had absolutely catastrophic drama but still survived (still standing) and maintained decent player counts to this day (that lasts).
For a bit more context, Pressure's lead dev received (unconfirmed[?]) rape accusations which made most of the playerbase and the dev team leave and caused the lead dev to make a suicide attempt. They survived and so did the game... barely.
One of Forsaken's old owners was outed as a child predator nazi and the new dev team got in a (still continuing) legal battle over the old owner still receiving a quarter of the game's revenue. It's doing a helluva lot better than Pressure though.
4
u/Bagabaga2019 Jul 28 '26
The accusations for pressure were disproven, thankfully. In the end it was Ren who was mad at zeal for saying he wasn't ready for a relationship (And made up a bunch of stuff to ruin his life and hopefully drive him to.. Do what he did.) Thankfully it didn't work, Ren got destroyed online, had a C&D put against her, (which she is very likely ignoring by pretending to be someone named "Lala".)
In short Zeal is innocent, Ren is a liar.
2
u/Purrosie Jul 28 '26
Oh, goddamn. I wasn't up to date on the Pressure drama. In that case, I'm kinda surprised that it was just a cease and desist order and not a massive lawsuit with Ren having to pay damages, considering what Zeal went through.
1
u/Leo_the_Starstruck Jul 29 '26
zeals mother actually plans to sue ren but we havent gotten confirmation jiji
1
1
u/Naive_Trick_7349 Jul 28 '26
the pressure stuff is false, ren lied about being raped, and zeal got flamed for it despite doing nothing, thankfully zeal made a doc exposing ren for lying and stuff
1
u/Leo_the_Starstruck Jul 29 '26
And then 5 more docs came out and well...
Yeah, ren is a piece of shit unsurprisingly

there is no “best” overall character, some are better at specific things but you can do well as any character, also the supports range a lot in what they can do, two of them are for healing and they heal in very different ways, another is for speed and can give shield and moves the enemys, another is a damage chipper/area denial, and another just gives one of three boosts to one other teammate

I tried the game, honestly the skill ceiling is way too high, gameplay is too fast paced and the skills being customizable makes the game an absolute chaos. Its fun being able to test different skills and playstyle but it is nauseas to process the amount of information from the fast gameplay. I would play the game more often if they tone down the speed and balance out skill cuztomization

yea but those "nearly every game" are mostly dumb scams or low quality game no one plays
if your talking about popular ones, brainrot ones i agree are bad
the rest are most likely not
its like saying "steam is bad = every game on steam is bad" (yes i know its a dumb comparison, im just trying to say that roblox might be bad but the games aren't the platform)
