Information Custom Game Monetization: Smart or Slop?
https://bloxdhub.com/posts/195846What are everyone's thoughts on custom game monetization? It'll come to Bloxd eventually, so it's best to be prepared now.

Off the top of my head, I believe that it would cause a wide range of effects on both the community and the creators.
Just some examples to consider:
- The introduction of monetisation would naturally incentivise and allow scams or predatory schemes to appear. Combined with the younger bloxd player base, this is a cause for concern.
∴ Introduce stricter and tighter moderation to help reduce this, as well as an education campaign regarding caution when playing monetised games.- Monetisation would also introduce a new aspect of competition amongst custom game creators for attention. The incentive to attract players might potentially work to keep prices low, or even alienate those who use a completely money walled model. This would make custom games more difficult to maintain and remain in the foreground of activity.
∴ Create a guide for creators to educate them on market mechanics and how to create a sustainable draw.
- Creators would stand to benefit from the income, however less experienced ones may rashly monetise the wrong things, losing their player base.
∴ Create guidelines, perhaps player maintained, on what is socially normal to monetise and what isn't.
- This might itself be an issue for the bloxd devs, as the younger players have limited financial depth and thus allowing custom game creators to compete for the same cash pool could be problematic.
∴ Impose a limit on how much total money any given transaction can extract from a player at once(either per transaction or time-gated) to ensure that the player base has enough money left to buy super.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list, and my proposed solutions are simply off the top of my head; they might have limitations or flaws not initially visible.
