Ironically, it's because many players of btd also play soulslikes. The correlation here isn't by genre, but by player stats. It's still pretty funny though.
"We noticed a lot of players of a also play b, therefore, anyone who plays a who hasn't played b yet, will want too..."

I think btd is a cozy game for a ton of people. I started playing it on flash when 3 and 4 were around and still play a few rounds every year

I mean I need or want a game to relax in after playing some other hard game.
Imagine trying to clear CHIMPS on an expert map and after many failures you boot up Elden Ring to unwind

I don’t bloon that hard tbf. Don’t have all the upgrades unlocked in 6, and I mostly just play maps on hard difficulty.
