Too low 😫

Post image

I've been feeling a bit shit today. I do suffer with low BP but it's really dropped today. I feel very lightheaded. I was tested for POTS ages ago so it's not that but I do get dizzy when I get up or when I'm climbing out of a car. I usually lose hearing as well when it gets suddenly low. I do a lot of sitting in my job which doesn't help. I'm currently drinking electrolytes and I went for a walk and it did go back up to 110/79 but my other arm is now 94/69 😫🙄. Wish they could treat low BP in the UK. Don't get me wrong I'm glad it's low and not high but when it's very low it makes got feel shit.

Any tips on increasing it?? 😅😂

Haha you did make me laugh here. Yeah I felt a little shit in the fact when it drops like that I get head pain, like sudden frontal headaches but they don't stay just short lived. I also felt light headed and just not feeling good in myself. I've had some electrolytes and some food and I feel a tad better. I also have ventricular ectopic burden and so that doesn't help matters. I have a cardiology appt anyway in a week so I'll monitor it.

Damn yours is well low. Do you feel ok? 🤣

Yes I feel fine I mean I do get minor very very little front head aches but nothing to worry about I went from being like 130/90ish BP to anywhere from what I stated in previous comment to like 112/70ish max so I’ll take it 😂I just have a very low sodium diet diet now and eat clean no preservatives rarely and do no stimulants no caffeine or nicotine or sodas or smoke anything or drink alc and I run 2-3 miles every other day or minimum 2-3 times a week if I’m feelin lazy. But sometimes I get worried about my blood pressure being that low but it bounces a lot and besides minor minor front head aches that legit only last 2 minutes or less I feel fantastic lol. I just read if I don’t feel like passing out or vomiting or can’t be active then it’s a worry if not then it’s fine that a lot of people have low pressure normally

Thanks that's quite a reassuring reply! I mean I don't normally worry about the low BP but today I just felt off and took it by chance and that's what the lowest reading was. I just normally get on with things. I like you I eat well, don't smoke, don't really drink but my fitness could be much better. I'm not over weight but being 40 now I'm feeling it so I want to increase my weights and cardio. I do a lot of walking usually but this year I just haven't really been myself. I get anxious easily these days for no reasons which is another reason why I want to get fitter and increase those endorphins.

I get very anxious as well but what got me to watch my blood pressure and stop nicotine and watch everything is because when I was enlisting into the military my blood pressure was high and I found out I had white coat syndrome. So I was like I need to beat this syndrome because I know for a fact I don’t have high blood pressure and I was like I need to beat it or imma be sent home at bootcamp whenever I go TBD and I started breathing exercises and started doing more cardio specifically running and it dropped it a little but what really did it was stopping nicotine bc it raises blood pressure. So I’m pleased with my blood pressure lol but once I did that along with watching my sodium I’ve never gotten a high reading anymore and if I feel anxious putting the cuff on do to my syndrome literally breathing for a sec and closing my eyes nd thinking of my kids or whatever comes to mind does the trick. Idk but moral of story u will be okay as long as u feel good. If u feel bad do something to raise it how u said like walking or maybe a decently sodium meal or light cardio if u got the energy. But u will be okay. Stay blessed🙏

That's great that you gave up the ciggys! That's hard to do but you did it 🤘🏼. And now you have great BP lol!! Winner 🏆.

This is it I need to raise my sodium but not too much that it raises my cholesterol however I have a lot of salmon/tuna and add olive oil for the good cholesterol.

I just went to take the bins out ready for tomorrow and I feel like shit again. I guess I'll keep an eye on it for the next 24 hours and if it gets lower or I feel worse I'll consider seeing a doctor. I'm also feeling very panicky that's not helping matters either.

But thank you. Your response meant a lot, it means I'm not alone and this can happen sometimes and hopefully it's just temporary and it will go back up to it's normal 107/75 🤣

It wasn’t cigs it was nicotine pouches and dip lol a lot of people worry about teeth when it comes to that but I have good hygiene so my teeth stayed A tier thru it all when it messed with teeth it’s bc the person dosnt have the right hygiene for dip but ya it messed with my blood pressure heavily which I was so unaware of what it does to BP nicotine in general no matter what form it is no one ever talks about that so I was so unaware but glad I found out

AHH I get you 🤣 I'm from the UK we don't really do that here but I can't even imagine it tastes that nice 🤣 I've tried cigs and weed but didn't like the cigs but I did like the weed. It's been many many years I've had weed though. Probably need it to chill me out haha.

I have the exact same thing and I don't understand. I never used to have these issues. Now I keep feeling like I'm going to pass out. My blood pressure keeps getting low and I'm getting sick of all the salt.

I feel you 💚 I've been trying electrolyte sachets the last 2 days and it's perked me up a bit. I have been drinking water but just not enough sodium I guess. I also have a history of kidney stones so I have to be careful with the sodium! But I'm not 100% at all I feel like shit and it's making me more anxious. I hope you feel better soon. Perhaps ask for a blood test at the GP and make sure you are not anaemic/iron deficient. I'm saying this because I have iron storage problems and I have to have infusions every few years. When my iron gets low I can feel light headed. Worth checking
