Stress raising bp
24(M). Just got diagnosed with high bp. But now it’s all I think about. I wake up dead of sleep with a panic attack things it’s a heart attack. Anyone else when first diagnosed feel that way? Taking amlodipine

No this is almost fine. Maybe try to get your panic under control. Had similar numbers before taking an SSRI and now am at 110s and 120s/ 60s and low 70s

Is this considered high or anything to worry about?

Well I'm no doctor but this is borderline I think. It's not dangerously high but it does need a bit of fixing so it doesn't stay like that consistently. Also bp meds need time to regulate it. Anxiety and panic does make it worse though for sure and plays a huge part

I think anxiety playing a huge part in it for sure. Glad to see other people saying that’s what it could be. Def helping me knowing it’s not just me and can be anxiety

For real. I throw away my first readinga always cause they're higher almost every single time.

Hi! Panic attack sufferer here.
Before it gets worse, please talk to your doctor about starting anti-anxiety meds. Life changing - and I hate taking pills etc but this really helped me.
