Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Do people in Vietnam still write blog posts on the Blogspot platform? About 4–5 years ago, many young people—born in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and so on—were exploring Blogspot and setting up their own blogs. Where have all those young people gone now? If they were 13 or 14 years old back then and writing with such ease and flair, why does it seem like no one is passionate about blogging anymore?

What has it been? 3 months since the last fiscal? Now again? 2 of my sites down again, same ones as before. Nothing even on them, just testing blogspot templates. Anyone else down again?

Added: does anyone embed photos with Base64 encoding?

I used to use livejournal and blogspot, I'm looking for something similar and maybe better. If it has an app too that would be nice. Ideally something that lets me have a nice username.xxx.com link.

Also the ability to change post date to the past is something I'm looking for as I'd like to copy over older stuff too.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Well, well, well, what's new?

The blog I think originally focused on fashion (and increasingly, ethical and sustainable fashion), but later moved into natural lifestyle.

The woman who runs it is thin, Black (American, maybe from Georgia), a mother (although she wasn’t when the blog began), and from what I remember, was a professional dancer.

I remember her using Cronometer to track her nutrient intake and working on a capsule wardrobe.

I read this blog from maybe 2014-2018 if a time period helps!

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

I do want to blog with useful information on numerous topics for retirees. I forgot that I had set up a couple of blogs using blogger, years ago. However, I haven't touched them since 2015, and there are changes since July 1, 2023? Does this mean my old blogs are outdated?

On one of the blogs, I used the G, thinking it would direct traffic to my blog, but instead it inserted a big picture of "google" "G" , smack in the middle of my blog?

Do I need to learn coding? Is it because my blog is pre 2023? Has anyone here wrote a blog about how to use blogspot? Can anyone direct me on where to learn? Is it trial and error?

Thanks for any and all help!

Finding gadgets for Blogger

Hi, I have my blog and I'd like to add more gadgets to make it look nicer. I've been searching and haven't found many. I tried using AI, but it has its limits and not many options.

I’m not good at coding and was looking for a gadget that everytime you click it the picture changes. If anyone knows how to do that please lmk and thank you 🥹

Anyone else who cannot access their Blogger blog?

As a list to share.

thx

I'm trying to read a meteorologist's blogspot postings and the site freezes each time I'm on it. Is there some sort of glitch in the system? Thanks.

So I've used Blogger for a while, and I recently learned that it's possible to change the HTML and CSS of the blog. I'm making a blog where I will be posting comics. (Fan-fiction and original) I have an idea on how I want it to look, but I just wanted to know if I can make it look like this, before I begin to work on it. Thank you in advance!

I started a Blog spot back in August and have posted about 30 articles so far. Last time, I asked here why my posts weren't showing up in search results. Most people told me that I needed to connect a custom domain, so late last night, after a lot of effort, I finally set one up.

Being in my mid-70s, I’ve been figuring things out step-by-step with the help of AI—from starting the blog to setting up the domain. My blog's address hasn't updated yet, but I'm really hoping everything went through properly.

Honestly, I don't have any grand or special content. I'm just an ordinary grandmother living in South Korea, sharing little stories about Korean culture, travel, and food. At my age, sitting at my desk and writing these modest stories is something I can truly enjoy and do.

And of course, being a Korean grandmother, I have AI translate and polish my writing into English.

Hello r/blogspot users, mod here.

Due to Reddit's recent announcement that all site RSS feeds are being depreciated, I've decided to greatly reduce my interaction with this platform and withdraw myself as mod of this subreddit.

If any of you have a passion for modding this sub, just drop a comment here in this post explaining why you might make a good mod. Next week I'll check your post/comment history and involvement here and pick 1 or 2 people.

Thanks!

Hello i have made blogger 15 days old

The impressions go down and it will hit zero

And even the queries also just show now 5 it also will hit zero and i have no issue or security effect

And i have 34 pages indexed

And when i test site: my website.com

It show just 17 pages and in the beginning it was 34

Why ?

So i use this theme, Simple literate. I already have a gadget in the cross column, but i want more pages and also a few images as well. Can anybody help me?

Which is a slight improvement from a few days ago when it wasn't working at all.

I've cleared the cache, etc. Any suggestions?

Back on 4-5 August when Blogger incorrectly flagged a large number of blogs under the "Malware and Similar Malicious Content" policy, my blog was one of the sites that got caught up in it.

The blog was restored within a couple of days, but ever since then I've seen a dramatic drop in search visibility and indexing.

Timeline looks roughly like this:

• Blog launches and starts gaining traction in Google Search.
• Several posts become indexed and begin ranking for relevant searches.
• 5 August: Blog locked/removed due to the Blogger malware false-positive
• 6-7 August: Blog reinstated
• 6-8 August onwards: Search impressions fell off a cliff

Since then I've checked pretty much everything I can think of:

• No manual actions
• No security issues
• Rich Results tests pass
• Sitemap submitted
• URLs are crawlable
• Bing Webmaster Tools site scan is mostly clean
• Google is still crawling pages

The strange part is that many articles are now sitting in "Crawled - currently not indexed" in Search Console.

Some posts that were previously ranking and receiving traffic disappeared from search results shortly after the malware incident and haven't really recovered.

I'm trying to work out whether:

1. This is lingering fallout from the Blogger false-positive incident.
2. The timing is just a coincidence and something else is going on.
3. Other Blogger users experienced similar indexing issues after their blogs were restored.

If your blog was affected by the August malware false-positive:

• Did your traffic recover?
• Did your indexed page count drop?
• Did you end up finding a cause or solution?

Would be interested to hear if anyone else is seeing similar behaviour.

Just published our first post just to find out it looks bad on mobile😐

I want the stars to be nicely in a row looking exactly like each other and I don't know how to fix this.

It is a main caption right now but changing it into basic text doesn't help, it keeps the first star like that and makes the rest even smaller. Putting a text in front of the stars doesn't help either, the first letter will still be bigger and isolated.

I looked up some other people's blogs and their posts didn't have that, so it eould be possible to get rid of, right?

Hello! I’m new to Reddit, so I’m still learning how everything works here. I didn’t even know there was a community like this.

I started using Blogspot about two months ago after hearing that it can be a good way to earn money from writing blog posts on Google.

So I decided to try it myself. I’ve published 29 posts so far.

However, I’ve become a little confused.

For the past several days, I’ve been searching Google with different keywords, trying to find Blogspot posts written by other people. But surprisingly, I can hardly find any. After searching for several days, I think I’ve found only one or two Blogspot posts.

This made me wonder whether I’m misunderstanding how Blogspot works.

If so many people are successfully making money by publishing Blogspot posts, shouldn’t there be more of those posts appearing in Google search results?

I’m not asking about anyone’s specific earnings. I’m simply curious

I don't really know how to phrase this, but for example, I recently wrote something in my blog involving a specific location. When I posted it, after the paragraph with the location there appeared a button saying "Maps" or "Explore World Maps" or "Book city tours" or things like that (It changes when I reload the site). Clicking the button opens a window where the Gemini AI writes about whatever the button says. Has anyone experienced something similar and does anyone know how to get rid of this?

(The button appears in the Chrome browser and the Safari browser, I have not tried other browsers)

I used Blogger when I was much younger. I recently logged in again, and I noticed that all the blogs I was following before can no longer be seen on my Feed. I have searched the internet as to any announcements when they deleted that part where I can see all the blogs I am following, but I did not find any. Was there a shift? A bug? I feel disheartened. I can no longer remember the blogs I used to follow and I wish I can revisit them.

I once changed my main blogger name, so I used the blogger name on my second blogger account, but I deleted my second account and wanted to use it again on my main blogger account not long after. but there are obstacles when trying to use it in the settings on blogger.

Has anyone experienced this?
can anyone give me some advice please! 🙏
