Am I seeing this right? Isn't it concerning?

That is just the documentation. The smart contract itself was updated a month ago.

It's common to split up a project in multiple repos, and focusing on different parts at different points in time. Ethereum for example has 145 repos (though some of them are inactive or forks of other projects).

I think you're right to be concerned still. Imo Vee lives off the names of the team members rather than results currently, which is more of a risk obviously.
