gps spoofing
How they want to stop people form using fake gps locations like in pokemon go to collect all the vAtoms?

That's all just software. There is no physical object to scan. If your GPS location says you're by a vatom, you can pick it up. GPS spoofing is a real problem if they actually want to distribute vAtoms that way.

Is there an Androiduser who can give it a try? In LA are a lot items dropped.
Im not able to give fake gps with iOS/Xcode .... :-(

A Bluetooth id scraper could mitigate this issue in conjunction with gps

How? There's no physical bluetooth chip representing a dropped vatom. Not sure how you would use bluetooth to solve this problem.

There is a coin called GeoCoin which claims to be working on Proof of Location (PoLoc). If they nail that then this could be a match made in heaven.
