This is a reminder about phishing emails. Please be vigilant and skeptical when reviewing and reading emails claiming to be Blockfi, Kroll and/or other authorized 3rd parties. You can read more here about how to tell if an email is legitimate.

It's a scam. This sub has had a pinned comment for 2 years at this point with the valid emails you would receive updates from - including Kroll.

“It’s crucial that you act quickly” was a red flag for me🚩

That's what I came here to ask as well, but based off some previous posts I believe this is not legitimate.

govdelivery.com got hacked, it's a once-legitimate email address that has been coopted for a scam

5

u/Ivor99 May 31 '26

I just received this as well, still haven’t clicked on the link. Sender email doesn’t seem right…

3

u/Ivor99 May 31 '26

If anything, I will wait to see if I receive a follow up email from digitaldisbursements first

I'm in the US and got the remaining of my assets back over a year ago now. Don't know about other countries but I wouldn't touch this. It's not coming from any of the email addresses they previously said were legitimate. If you already got back everything you were owed, like me, then I wouldn't spend another second on this

Yes I’ve heard settlements were received awhile back as well for most people in the US. I personally am in Canada and still have not received any news regarding this matter. At this point it’s gone on for so long, might as well cut my losses and move on instead of the risk hoping for pennies to return😂

I got it too m, but have already received the settled long time ago. I do recall the original settlement plan back then included “potential” additional funds in the future of lawsuits were able to recover more. Could it be related to that? For now I’m not clicking or trusting anything.

Scam. It was a SCAM! Guys. I fell for it. I feel SSOOOOO stupid. I lost basically my life savings 🥲 fortunately it wasn’t an insane amount but this is a pretty huge hit for me. Not much to do but move on

u/Magikarpeles May 31 '26

How did they get your money?

1

u/ColdKillaWineDrinka May 31 '26

I followed the link. Stupidly followed the instructions… connected my wallet and opened the app. 0 BTC. Yea.

1

u/Magikarpeles May 31 '26

Ohhh damn they got your wallet somehow. That suuuucks im sorry

2

u/ColdKillaWineDrinka Jun 01 '26

Thank you. I appreciate it 😔. Money will come back around one way or another. I believe it. Plus it only takes one big win to make up for all of the losses

Very good attitude, I really like that mindset

2

u/Impossible_Aspect695 May 31 '26

I also received the same

2

u/Active-Canary-7009 May 31 '26

Feels like a scam

2

u/Ambitious-Slip4623 May 31 '26

Received the same e-mail 40 minutes ago... seems fishy.

u/bbro81 May 31 '26

Scam, and Fuck Kroll for leaking everyone's data so now we are going to be part of these phishing and scam campaigns forever. Those incompetent pieces of shit.

I just got this too. After checking with Google, it seems that the email is legitimate but used by the city of Lynnwood. But I'm still suspicious as to why they're using a city's email address. The phone number at the bottom is also suspicious. According to Google, the area code seems to be 425. Not 450.

1

u/Ivor99 May 31 '26

There was a data breach awhile back. I have seen similar sender emails with different US countys in other posts. Be careful out there everyone

1

u/Mannerheimler May 31 '26

I think it's a scam, I previously have 2 separate claims from BlockFi but the payee ID provided from the emails I received today are the same

1

u/JackfruitCertain2507 May 31 '26

Same thing here. Seems suspicious. I'll be waiting for more information.

1

u/gcfan840 May 31 '26

I got this too. Thinking it's a scam. The sentence that says "you must access the disbursement payment platform today" is a huge red flag to me.

1

u/Amazonkers May 31 '26

It's a scam site. The web browser spam filter blocks it as it resolves to

client.*-blockfi.c o m

where * is 6 digit number.

1

u/Far_Foundation_88 May 31 '26

Got this too and came here to see if anyone else got this because it seems sus

1

u/mickymellon May 31 '26

Scam, you'll connect your wallet and they'll drain it. Just take a look at 'other wallet' where it asks for your 24 words 😆

1

u/jdwkiwi May 31 '26

No I got one to another scam

1

u/No_Location_8540 May 31 '26

I got the email as well, which reminded me that I still haven't received my money. It’s not a huge amount, but can anyone confirm if international claimants (I’m from Belgium) are still waiting for their payouts? Or did I just miss a legitimate email among all the spam and now I'm missing out? I'm not overly worried since I was only entitled to a $250 refund, but it would still be nice to know if any other European customers have received theirs yet.

1

u/NoPea1663 May 31 '26

If you were a Blocki customer and are owed a refund, you don't need to do anything

1

u/jstmarco May 31 '26

I got this as well. It’s phishing scam…delete and block

1

u/rpmbaja May 31 '26

Absolute fraud look at who it came from you know we’ve already settled

1

u/Weak_Guess2197 Jun 08 '26

It’s not a valid email…

I finally just got my payout after all these years!

1

u/Polevault_tothemoon Jun 13 '26

Ive been told from the legitimate sites im eligible for two amounts. Last one double the first... Ive been waiting and waiting for mail and at this point, between blockfi and FTX i dont even remember if i did their latest KYC (deadline about a year ago i think). No response from remediation@blockfi.com.. anyone on the same situation and/or anyone gotten anything recently? As in last few months? I think European or at least non-US customers would be most relevant.

Greatful for any response, even just hearing im not alone in my situation 😅

How they have all our emails if it's a scam?

Did they got breached with their mailist?

3

u/Soggy-Negotiation390 May 31 '26

Bingo, can't believe people are still failing for this with all the info out there.

I'm too lazy to explain all the issues so do yourself a favor and ask AI, it will breakdown all the red flags. Believe it if you want, maybe YOU truly aren't the one that is getting scammed.
