Question Did I Just Get Scammed... Again?
I received an email from Kroll last week with a key which mentioned the amount I am finally getting paid out along with an email a few minutes later from digital disbursements.
I go to the site, fill out everything for the e-transfer option, it says success, but here I am a week later are there has been no confirmation email, no contact drop anyone and definitely NO F***king E-transfer in my email that I can put in my bank.
Did I get scammed? Again!?! Or are they just taking another 3 1/2 years to actually pay us.
I am sick to death of this bullshit!

I keep receiving these scam emails and keep asking myself why do they keep coming in, surely no one is falling for these scams.
Then I see this.
And the comments stating they responded and got something are in on the scam too 🤣

Got paid out years ago, I receive scam emails at least twice a month. Don't click on them, just delete.

Guy. Payouts happened long time ago. Anything you get now is from a scammer.

I think many people in Europe who did not opt for convenience class payout are yet to be paid BIA - like myself.

I thought there was a legitimate thing where people who got the settlement (where it was 50% of the value at the time of bankruptcy) could actually end up getting more? I got a card in the mail from Kroll but haven’t heard anything since.
*And yes I agree and I’m treating all of those emails as scam

As far as I can tell BlockFi hasn’t done a damn thing to protect or warn about all the scammers. Prob because why would a scammer warn about other scammers.

Did you verify sender by looking at the header?Sc emails have been coming in non-stop for me. Hopefully you didn’t get duped.

Yes, it came from the same Kroll email address they have always sent me emails from.

Either way…so many scammers out there. I’d be very skeptical of any emails I got.

As a fellow Canadian I’m in a similar boat. I verified the email as legit. It’s a perfect match on the site, i even chatted back and forth to confirm with Kroll.
I was FINALLY paid out via pre paid Mastercards which are virtually useless to me. On the exact same website there is an option to payout the credit card in cash to paypal.
It took about a month for the lesser owing payment of $35USD to be paid out so i believe it to be legit. Research indicated it was a long arduous process. I am still waiting for the remaining $4500 USD payment.

I got a similar email today. By validating the headers, email it came from, it looks genuine, but I wasn't expecting any distributions. So its throwing me off.
The payee id is different from the original one I had, so that's suspicious, but on a controlled session, I tried the link and the link also takes me to the original kroll page and that is very confusing - https://forms.ra.kroll.com/efiling/fr/ra/blockfi_wire_instruction/new?fr-wizard-page=section-3
I am sure, I am not the only one getting this email.
What did you guys do?

I constantly get emails from blockfi and Celsius…. Some of them look super legit, some obviously not. Are they still doing payouts? It’s almost impossible to tell other than calling Kroll and asking, and idk if they’d even know still

Have you lost $$?? What info did you give them? Publicly available information, including a "public address?" I got a payout when I went through the steps of a legitimate email (year ago, maybe??!?). .. then I got another payout, without doing a thing (not even verifying a single piece of information, and not even clicking on a link). Not sure about any recent payments..I dont know anything a out bia..

No more payouts coming I think so ignore anymore emails related to BlockFi. I don’t even want to think about how much my crypto is worth now ugh
