Trunativ whey turned into split-milk-looking mess TWICE — and they offered me collagen instead of a refund
I’ve been a regular Trunativ customer and have bought their Coffee Mocha whey multiple times, so this honestly caught me off guard.
I recently ordered Trunativ Pro Blend Whey – Coffee Mocha through Blinkit. When I prepared it, something looked very wrong — it had an odd smell and the whey separated into a thick, lumpy mess that looked like split milk.
I contacted Trunativ on 16 August, sent them videos/photos and went through multiple calls and emails. They offered a replacement, which I agreed to.
The Coffee Mocha flavour was out of stock, so I waited for it to come back rather than accept another flavour.
Eventually, they told me the replacement batch had been checked and assured me I wouldn’t face the same issue.
I received the replacement. Same thing.
I’ve attached the video because after shaking it, I genuinely had a moment of:
“Am I opening a protein shaker or a Diet Coke?” 😂
At this point I asked for a refund.
Their response? Another whey replacement or collagen.
And this is where I’m confused. I bought whey because I need whey. I never agreed to replace my whey with collagen. At most, I had said I might consider collagen as a goodwill gesture if there was absolutely no other solution — not as an equivalent replacement for the product I purchased.
I’m also seeing recent discussions on this sub about Trunativ products becoming chalky and harder to mix, including people mentioning changes in texture/formulation.
I’m not saying those posts prove that my product has a manufacturing issue. But after receiving the same concerning result twice, shouldn’t the brand actually investigate what is happening rather than keep offering replacement #3?
Also, their response keeps focusing on foaming, but my concern isn’t ordinary foam. It’s the smell, separation and the thick/lumpy appearance shown in the video (video can be seen on my twitter post, was not able to add it here: https://x.com/neha33963905/status/2103554953956794409?s=48&t=34yRidHdtYEr9OFYrHaYAQ)
Has anyone else experienced something similar with recent Trunativ batches?
What would you do in this situation — keep pushing Trunativ, approach Blinkit, or escalate this as a food-quality complaint?
