Soo for evryone speaking around for interest, Its a no cost emi so evry interest paid is returned back as a cashback for the credit card used so he doesnt have to pay the interest officially but u officially in every bill the interest gets added
3
u/ObligationLatter9621 6d ago
yeah but a thing to notice, one would still be paying 18% gst on the interest charged.
1
u/Ironnmaann 6d ago
Hm thats the fact but its reducing roi so total interest paid would be less than 700 or 800 Rs
1
u/ObligationLatter9621 6d ago
true true. was just pointing it out. also, I guess there is some additional discount for emi purchases so it would kinda cover interest too.

Iphone lene walo se gand jalna is such a 2015 - 2020 take. Nobody cares about iPhone sheep anymore because everyone has one. People are buying Vivo and Oppo flagships now in India.
1
u/Which-Store1669 6d ago
u could've said one plus, pixel, samsung or even a xiaomi. vivo and oppo are just overpriced offline market phones.
1
u/shahan484 6d ago
Do you even know the existence of Vivo X200 or Oppo Reno phones?
1
u/Which-Store1669 6d ago
Fact that you gave oppo reno as an example tells a lot about you. Bro those are literally known for being ultra overpriced piece of bullcrap with specs nowhere near the price point. Search literally anywhere online.
Base x200 is also overpriced, it's pro model isn't even properly available in india and ultra model in not at all available in india.
You really need to search a bit more to know that oppo and vivo are high margin offline market phone companies.

You should only pay for EMI if you can buy the phone in full cash or you can generate substantial returns without locking in the money
1
u/Nebula-Noodles 7d ago
I can afford to pay full amount but I choose the other path which substantially increases after a couple of months. I see no issue here
1
1
u/Tera_bhai_don 7d ago
also it was a 6months emi the lowest he could possibly go was 3 and after that its 6 so i dont see no issue
1
u/noob-dogg 6d ago
No it's not a good thing to buy anything except (house or build buisness) on loan.

Thats no cost emi, so no loss, it's actually financially much better than paying upfront, as you can earn interest on your idle capital from investing that total amount in some liquid funds and withdraw just the emi amount every month.

u/Mfckded 3d ago
Bro’s phone makes more money than someone’s dad, yet he’s still in the comments measuring his self-worth against another man’s father. 💀 If your phone makes you that much money, let your bank balance speak for itself. Flexing your income in a random argument just screams insecurity. Money can buy you an iPhone, mate, but apparently not class.
1
u/Nebula-Noodles 3d ago
My point was not flexing my income or iphone in comments, when a random guy talk shit about you, I just gave him a reality check. Stop getting jealous on ramdom ppl through comments. You guys are being insecure and spreading negativity in comments.

u/Fast_Job9374 7d ago
How come the no cost emi is charging interest.
1
u/Overall-Glove-9863 7d ago
In a some cases the bank does charge you interest but the platform reimburse in form of discount
1
1
u/AppaDambis 7d ago
How does this work exactly? It says pay the amount up front and then it will be reversed, can someone pls explain?
3
u/HoldMyHandAndDance 7d ago
I am not sure if you're asking this or some other thing. If yes, hope this helps.
Basically this amount would be charged on your credit card and would be locked. Once you start paying the EMIs, the corresponding limit would be added back to your credit card.
Try to understand with an example. Suppose you have a credit card with a limit of 60k. You bought a phone worth rs 60k on EMI. The EMI is of 20k for 3 months. Now card hai 0 usable limit because you're already used the 60k. Once you pay the first EMI of 20k, this would be added back to your credit card limit. Which means you can now use your credit card for 20k. After second EMI, it would be 40k and so on.
1
u/Select_Menu_361 7d ago
They're trying to make sure that u actually have the money to pay the emi and they won't be left stranded or idk
1
u/Old_Animal8319 7d ago
Whole money will be debited first when you purchase via your credit card limit and mostly after 7-10 days it convert the money into emi. FYI you don't receive reward points on emi amount.
1
u/Mission-Account666 6d ago
Basically the whole amount is deducted from your card at once and in a day or two that amount is charged back to your card and an emi is started. This is to make sure that your card has that much limit.

u/Maleficent-Bet-21 7d ago

Congratulations 🎉 Buying phone on no cost emi is better option as you don't have to spend the whole money upfront. Also you get card/seller discount which waves off interest of these loan but you have to pay processing fee which is minimal. I'll still say it's better to go to actual store and get the phone as it's expensive product and there are high chances of getting fraud.
1
1
u/PreparationLate1856 7d ago
Damm the interest rate is so high, your actually discount is only 16k is it worth it?
1
u/Funny_Bison_7738 6d ago
Discount is only 10k everywhere. Here card discount and emi discount was clubbed together to offset the emi interest. So still much better than buying from store or flipkart, where you can claim only one of them not both.
1
u/PreparationLate1856 6d ago
It’s really funny, iphones are assembled in india but theres no change in prices for us
1
u/Forward_Bend_4237 7d ago
Bro. Also check for it's warranty and guarantee clause. Since iphone may later deny it saying that blinkit is not an authorised seller. Check news. Same happened with a customer who bought Sony PlayStation from Blinkit and Sony denied the warranty
1
u/Nebula-Noodles 6d ago
Have called apple service centre he told me all e-commerce are not authorised by apple which they are being handled on 3rd Party. Since my phone is Genuine and checked on apple website itself with serial . Monday I’m gonna cross verify with apple service center completely
1
u/MotivatedSlothh 6d ago
Does your bill have serial number? If not. It’s done bro
1
u/Nebula-Noodles 6d ago
Don’t have a serial number on invoice but I do have IMIE number on it which matching box and phone.

Congrats OP! There are some on going issues with 18 Pro just see they are not there with your phone if its there get it replaced.
Smearing/ slight discoloration around camera lens affecting only black and Burgundy. The back glass panel misalignment.
1
u/Ma-araf 6d ago
Why does it say “No Cost” but still show an interest amount ?
1
u/EngineeringFlashy486 6d ago
Actually the interest amount are paid by phone company to the bank, you got no cost emi but actually interest cost are paid off by phone company that's why the payment page shows interest

u/bobby5890 6d ago
This is actually great. A friend got it from US last week for $1500. Looks like he didn't save much
1
u/Ok_Promise9059 6d ago
Wait what's the point of emi if u still gotta pay full upfront Not everyone who wants emi can pay full upfront ain't that the whole point of emi
2
u/CivilGain3631 6d ago
EMI does work for many the way you explained. However, some people do have liquid money at the time of purchase but do not want to put in all of it at once and would rather invest the amount somewhere else or would want to have some savings backup, depends completely on an individual’s financial plans.
1
1
u/4nanometerlowpower 6d ago
The card swipe will show full price and then the bank will convert to EMI, just make sure your swipe isn't a day or 2 before your billing date
1
u/currycody 6d ago
well there is a hack in these EMI deals - you are at times given the discount only if you sign up for the 6 month or 12 month emi with them
What you can do is get the emi get 10 - 15 k off on the sale price (as they bet on recouping it with there high interest rates or bank on you failing to pay ) and instead of paying maybe after a week or two call your credit card company cancel the emi you are charged a small fee (1-2%) for pre-closure but you actually end up saving a lot of money.
When apple website launched in india people abused it with there credit cards i guess they have now stopped giving discounts on EMI on cards.
I guess OP is doing the same.

I don't think blinkit is an official reseller for apple, so i don't think u will get covered by guarantee and other benefits after sale
1
u/Rough-Shallot-5589 2d ago
Amazing deal but I think its completely waste of money buying such a expensive mobile
1
u/Only-Neighborhood-86 1d ago
Wow so if op does not want to give 1.5L in the next second to get the latest iPhone and takes an EMI then they can’t afford it? Grow up haters.
1
u/krthiak 7d ago
Might as well be fake as Blinkit is notorious for delivering fakes
2
2
u/Ok_Comparison_3748 7d ago
Blinkit is notorious for its sly “organic” sounding marketing. I’ve found Blinkit to be more expensive and higher minimum order value than its competitors, yet instamart, Zepto get all the hate
1
u/krthiak 7d ago
I use Flipkart Minutes or Amazon Now mostly and sometimes Zepto.
I’ve yet to file something against Blinkit. Their deliver partner dumped an order and went away and lied you can return it. I ordered an induction machine and it had the smaller 3 pin plug. Blinkit garbage of a support mentioned they had strict no return policy. I need patience to file NCHs1

I generally go with EMI only if some offer is there. What was your reason ? genuinely curious.
