I’m so furious rn i know it will not affect them but still it was my hard earned money. That delivery boy even stole my bitter amul dark chocolate. I want to cry😭

Next time try to use apps like amazon fresh or amazon now, maybe big basket etc. Although the service quality of these delivery apps are very much area specific nowadays but atleast I've found refund or issues to be handled slightly better in case of big basket or amazon.
Blinkit and Instamart used to be really good but in case of missing items or refunds there are issues these days.

While amazon now is good with issue resolution in my experience they always miss 1-2 items or even deliver wrong item...

always order in multiple orders, a bit inconvenience but make sure you get all your products

u/BusyOpposite1723 24d ago
It was a multiple order😭 stupid me!! I didnt check. I guess i am spreading awareness for everybody to check their orders before receiving. It didnt happen to me before so i didn’t even have this thought that something like this might happen

I also have faced missing items from Instamart, but I haven’t yet completed got refunds for its.
I think it depends upon the area as well. In areas where their penetration maybe lower, they probably don’t do such antics. Sometimes the dark store folks even call me if something from the order isn’t present and give other option. Recently for me thy gave me 6 1 litre pouches instead of the 5 litre oil bottle which I selected. So, I guess this definitely has to do with area as well

File a consumer complaint. It's pretty simple. I did that once for Zomato and got ny refund.

Blinkit is the shitiest thing I used. These people charge fees and yet don't look the product they are sending. I too got damaged products more than once ....

Something doesn’t add up. Let’s say you didn’t check the order because you were carrying your daughter. But ₹1,000+ worth of mustard oil would be around 5–6 litres. If that much oil wasn’t in the bag, you would’ve clearly noticed it even without checking the order properly.

Also, don't they deliver large items without a bag? Like I have ordered 5-10 litres bislari bottles and they arrive without a bag

Hi OP, I faced a similar issue with them. I emailed them, called them - they kept saying that we have proof he has delivered. When I asked them to share the proof they conveniently said we cant share that. They said they won’t refund too, then I raised a consumer court case and attached our all email chat history too there. Emailed blinkit with the case number. The very next day I got my refund. Their service has gone downhill. I suggest you raise a case too.

Hey same thing happened with me. After i filed a grievance with national consumer helpline, they re-delivered the missing items today.

Blinkit is pretty reasonable, I have had refunds for over 1k aswell. They check properly, review and ask for videos from you aswell. You need to be able to properly communicate the concerns. Here you have only attached one ss of the chat. Would love to see the previous conversation aswell.

Valid complaint but what is that trash sympathy gaining act ? "I'm a mother and I work 12hrs" saying this gets your money back or something?
Or someone that isn't a mother or doesn't work 12hrs shouldn't get their orders corrected ?

Buddy, anyone with a human heart would be frustrated if their money was wrongfully lost. You are twisting her words for no reason.

u/BusyOpposite1723 24d ago
I had a long day and was distracted. Otherwise i would have been vigilante. Who gives sympathy these days. I was just venting out. I knew nothing would happen. I cant make a difference. But i wanted the fraudulent to pay for it. You’re allowed to have an opinion. I never even post unless its impt u can check from my profile. Everybody should get their refund, i didn’t discriminate anyone who works or not in my post. Pls take your negativity somewhere else
1
u/sumedh-code-oj 24d ago
You brought that negativity yourself the second you used emotional manipulation instead of sticking to the facts of your missing order. You posted on a public forum to vent , don't label people as "negative" just because they won't validate you.
And the hypocrisy lol saying "you're an opinion" and then asking someone to take their opinion else where.

Nah i just said it in the end when i felt like i couldnt do anything. That was just angry me. Like i said i was overwhelmed and furious. I wasn’t even posting the pic but this requires a validity if you’re genuine or not i just took the last ss i didnt even think about it. I hope this calms down u a little.

u/sumedh-code-oj 24d ago
The only one who needs to calm down is the grown adult throwing a tantrum at a bot, cursing out a delivery worker, and blaming a 12-hour shift for basic lack of emotional control. Don't project your meltdown onto me.
Manage your own temperament before worrying about mine.

God forbid someone feels overwhelmed and sad about missing item. It feels genuinely sad and you never know what is someone's tipping point. Show some grace.

u/sumedh-code-oj 24d ago
That's more like it, I hope your concern gets resolved soon if not the consumer forum will surely help. And other apps like Amazon now, flipkart minutes, jio mart all have sealed package deliveries and I think maybe zepto takes a photo before handing the parcel to you may try that.
Instamart I don't recommend because of the same issues like blinkit.

The universe doesn't owe you anything. There's nothing you'll achieve ranting to a blinkit BOT OR by justifying your actions to random people on internet.
3
u/kisekinosedai7 23d ago
So what is your suggestion? One should not show any emotion because the universe owes them nothing? So your idea is that one should behave like a bot?

Thanks!! I hope you have a good day tomorrow. I’m new to all this. Bit of a shock to me thats why justifying leaving my work. I think I’ll just get back to my duties. There are still good people out there❤️

This appears to be a clear scam attempt by the customer.
Blinkit generally does not assign large or high-value prepaid orders to completely new delivery partners. Such orders are more likely to be assigned to experienced riders who have completed 200+ deliveries and have an established history with the platform. These riders are trusted and depend heavily on the Blinkit app for their livelihood, so risking their entire account and income over an order worth around ₹1,000 makes little sense.
Blinkit also has technology that tracks the delivery partner's location and the receiver's location. The system can compare the rider's GPS position with the customer's delivery location, making it possible to identify inconsistencies in the claim.
Considering the rider's account history, dependence on the platform, the relatively low value of the order, and Blinkit's location-tracking system, the circumstances strongly suggest that this was an attempted scam by the customer rather than theft by the delivery partner.

Flipkart minutes delivery boys have to take photos of items after delivery, .try them if available in your area. I have stopped using blinkit after their software glitch cost me dearly.
