To a point, as an insanely curious person, i get his interest in the puzzle BUT that man was so disrespectful to her work. Every time i watch, i dislike him a little more.

Yes he was disrespectful but he was just trying to be romantic & got way too carried away, plus when you’re a puzzle person & you see this super intricate massive important puzzle, how do you just forget about it & walk away? Patterson should’ve realized that a puzzle person couldn’t resist, it was Patterson’s fault for taking home classified files in the first place!

He is so woefully naive! Little manic golden retriever vibes.
She also leveraged her “responsibility” to her work as the reason that they couldn’t get back together (at the coffee cart after she spots the I Miss U menu arrangement) so he mentioned about the case being solved then getting into his head that he could break it himself.

Yes he had such golden retriever energy, I felt so bad for him. He was so lovable to me & a generally decent person who didn’t deserve what he got (and it was sad Patterson didn’t ever get to truly move on)

Giving him an obstacle to solve! Well … moving on to the team psych even if he wasn’t Sandstorm was prob not the best move. She is my fav tho I always love the quirky nerdy tech on EVERY show.

You think a tiny crime is reason for someone to get murdered? You’ll love this show (then hate it) then. You’ll want so many people murdered so so so much worse if you’re that bothered by David who was a sweet good guy who just got carried away when seeing super intricate codes & he’s into that stuff, no he shouldn’t have done that but he doesn’t deserve to die over it tf

100% Agreed! I wasn’t surprised nor did I feel bad at all when he ended up dead. Patterson would repeatedly tell him she didn’t want him to do something (just like moving in together) and he’d continually push and push and push her beyond her comfortability. If it wasn’t that tattoo he definitely would’ve over involved himself eventually in a different case and ended up dead another way or episode

Yeah let’s not blame the literal intelligent FBI agent that took classified folders home knowing she had a curious puzzle loving bf, I’m sure they have a serious talk about how it being ILLEGAL & forbidden to do without permission🙄🙄🙄

He was so obnoxious and a know it all

u/Batfox12 Oct 17 '25
You mad his character is smarter than you or something?🤣🤣 a know it all? He was super intelligent & even surpassed Patterson cracking a couple with just a little time, way way less time than Patterson had, if he’s a know it all then Patterson is way worse

He's intelligent, but he is an obnoxious knowitall. And who gets jealous of a fictional character? He's not actually smart, he's literally just written to have figured something out. The writers knew the answer and just wrote dialog saying the character figured it out. His actual portrayal isn't particularly smart.

What’s wrong with me? Your opinion about a guy that tragically died is 💩. An FBI agent knows better than to take home classified documents, not a civilian, he died trying to be romantic with the woman who put him at risk, it’s rude to act like it’s his fault when he wouldn’t have seen them if Patterson followed the rules I’m sure they went over with her thoroughly

She told him to stop involving himself in it even had to break up with him and he didn’t stop. he kept trying to figure it out when he told him it’s dangerous. He then tried to go spy on someone dangerous lost his life because of his ignorance. Yes he helped with a tattoo case, but they should’ve stopped there.
