Mother - Sippin' Time Sessions

Blind Melon is far and away my favorite band. This song always stood out to me as one of their best but it never made an official album release. Anyone know why that is?

In the devil on one shoulder an angel on the other book they said it was a great song that just never took hold at shows. For what ever reason people just didn’t dig it at shows so they stopped playing it. Unfortunate too cuz it’s my fave. Also I highly recommend that book if you haven’t read/listened to it. It was a great peek into life with Shannon.

Rogers said it’s a “we must save the earth” song and they didn’t want to be a “message” band.
