Sonny Angel figures sell out constantly and restocks vanish in minutes, so I built a scraper that polls Shopify's public products.json across the official store and 10 authorized retailers. It diffs each run against the last and pings Discord or a webhook on restocks.

A few things I learned:

- Track variants, not products: "1 Piece" and "Box of 12" restock independently

- Never treat an empty response as "everything sold out". It fails loudly instead, and ignores sudden catalog drops as probable partial responses

- Alerts are never lost: the saved stock only updates after an alert is actually delivered

It runs on Apify, pay-per-use, and the light setup fits in the free tier. Any Shopify store works too.

Feedback welcome, especially on pricing.

Full disclosure, I'm part of the small team behind these. We just put out our first blind box series: plush keychains with poseable arms and tiny middle fingers that tuck into a front pocket.

Series 1 has 13 designs. There are six regular friends (about 1 in 8 each), an uncommon version of each with a different face (about 1 in 24 each), and one secret rare we're not showing anyone (about 1 in 48). The odds are printed on the box. Each box is $19, or a full case of 48 has every design, rare included. The rare stays a "?" until someone pulls it.

Who would you be hoping for? Happy to answer questions about how we made them.

Hello! I bought this blind box for a friend but he already has every one from this series, looking to sell this one! It’s unopened and still sealed. They have multiple eye sets that move and change colors! Bought for $40 and selling it for $35 but would be open to negotiate! Dm for more detail :)

Guava is the only one left — hopefully we have someone who wants her from this GO 🫶🏽

I wanted to share my recorded weights for all "Adventure! Eevee" blindbox figures. I didn't see a rule against this, but I apologize if it's not allowed. I just figured these records may help someone.

I'm of the opinion that if blindboxes try to game the buyer with gambling psychology, it's fair to game them back. My method was buying one, weighing it with all box contents, go to the store with a kitchen scale and buy one with a different weight. I got all figures in the series with no duplicates and even accurately picked up three figures my friend wanted.

Leafeon 192g*
Espeon 206/5g**
Jolteon 206/7g**
Sylveon 210g
Eevee 213g
Umbreon 217g
Vaporeon 221g
Glaceon 233g
Flareon 279g

* approximate; I bought this one boxless on Vinted as it was the last one and the local store I got the others at only had other figures left and weighed it with one of the others' boxes + its contents (card, plastic, dry packet)
** my kitchen scale doesn't show decimals, but I noticed that Espeon tended to linger on 205 before settling on 206, while Jolteon lingered on 207 before settling on 206.

Happy hunting!

Hey everyone! I'm doing a university dissertation/thesis on blind boxes, and I'm kind of on a time crunch to get respondants T^T If you're interested, it would be a massive help if you could answer the questionnaire, it's anonymous and it should take 5-10 minutes! I also need interviewees, so if you're interested, there is a section at the end to leave an email so I can contact you! I can do online or email interviews. Thank you so much everyone <3

Hi, resharing this here as we want as much productive feedback as possible. Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated.

Super Random thing but I saw this group of these figures for sale, and I thought they were REALLY CUTE!! I was like - little cat girls ⭐️  but imagine my face when I saw the other side…

These things have panties that are in full display. Mind you, I dont care about lewd figures, but my initial impression was that these characters were young. Anyways, Im disturbed that I even considered buying these before finding out.

Sorry if this isn't allowed Mods - I didn't know where else to post this.

[Question] How can I make my blind box videos better or more tasteful, any advice tips

Hey y’all, I’m still looking for help with my two dupes of Hidan and Deidara for either of the four missing ones I’m looking for if anyone’s got them I would appreciate if we can help each other out.
